Actually, this happened in football in an FA cup tie I believe between Fulham and Southampton.

one team had a man sent off, and a sub came on in his place. The team won, but were later removed from the cup and the other team re-instated.

Although you cannot compare sports, and taking into account my bias, I believe the points should either be shared or awarded to Cas.
