I think you're being a bit hard on the lad. I think he still worries about his leg when playing. He's not been back playing very long.

I think it was Lawrence who slightly nudged him and he went down clutching his face / side of head.

Fair play for him coming back from such a bad injury, but that was nothing to do with his leg. He was trying to milk a penalty by diving and there's no place for that in Rugby League. I'd say the same if it was a Saints player as it's the main reason I stopped watching football.
