Is Boyle definitely off?
Is it all about money?
If it is then it's a real shame to be losing a talented kid only to be replaced with a 31yo plodder.
No actually plodder is harsh, but does he offer more than Boyle can given the opportunity of game time?
I don't remember Jackson being any great shakes the last time he was here.
Strange.

| Very poor signing.
If Boyle is allowed to leave to be replaced by the calibre of Jackson then someone wants a kick up the a*se

I've no idea, i personally hope not. But there is no smoke without fire as they say
Jackson, by his own admittance, was poor last time he was here. I just hope he is in better form if we are to get rid of Boyle

| Personally pretty pleased with the signing.
When iv seen the Giants play hes looked pretty solid and doesn't take a backwards step.
However, not seen them that often, only when we have played them and when they have been on TV - The Hudds fans seem to be pretty dissapointed he is leaving and don't really have a bad word to say about him.
Hopefully be able to keep Boyle too... maybe looking unlikely now, but i guess we will find out soon.
Welcome back Paul.

| I cant believe some of your fans saying its a poor signing
i am gutted Jacko is leaving us as he was always one of our most consistent performers, but its all about opinions - a regular fans favourite at a top 3 club with cup final experience is classed as a poor signing these days - shows the progress of all clubs !!
hope he does well for you - a big los for the Giants !!

It's more the fact that a lot of us (if not all) remember him the first time around. He wasn't exactly a top player. But he hopefully will have improved with age and experience!

| Whilst not wanting to criticise your coach I think maybe this has a lot to do with the performance of players (no really!). I remember visiting Cas a number of times and the verbal slating Jacko got was pretty bad although as som of you say and by his own admission his first spell with you was maybe not was as expected from both parties.
He is a great player and always gives 100% very reliable. Scott Moore on here I seem to recall last season wasnt the flavour of the month with you guys however he has had a great season with us.
Anyways I am sure Jacko will go well for you

I always thought Moore had great potential, he just never seemed to apply it on the pitch. Until he went to Huddersfield

| The problem with Jacko is that most fans have no idea what his role is.
fans want a team of 4 props all of whom are blockbusating, making breaks and offloading to the half backs every time they carry the ball.
Coaches realise that every team has to have someone who does the hard, monotonous work, tackkling and carrying the ball in
Jackson is a coaches player. He will never be a fans favourite. But as a good , solid, grafting prop he creates the conditions for the impact players and the backs to play there game.
I like Jacko and every team needs one or two players like him. I hope he gets the respect and support he deserves at Cas. He was a good player for us and i am sad to see him go. I wish him all the best in the future.

If anything i thought he tried too hard for us, which led to him making a fair few errors and giving penalties away.

Obviously you've seen more of Jackson than we have this season but from the Huddersfield games I've seen I'd agree with your summary.
Seems very similar to Stuart Jones - does the hard, unglamourous work that fans often miss but coaches love - a player that the majority of Cas fans have really appreciated this season.
If he plays for us like he did for Huddersfield I don't think there'll be too many complaints from Cas fans next season.

He came to us the last time with a similar reputation and was a big let down. I cannot believe we give a second chance to someone who was so abysmal for us last time around.
Hey, maybe Korki will be back in a few years

imo paul jackson is a stats man probably racking up metres and the tackles without anyone noticing but the players and coaches, these kind of players are gems and lets face it if we are ever going to get our awful defence sorted we need work horses in the team to do the donkey work to build a platform for shifty and rangi to do the fancy stuff.
