Charnley - fit and not being selected
Thornley - not very good
Goulding - over rated, Gelling out performing him
Taylor - fit and not being selected?
Pettybourne - really not good at all, penalty machine
So hardly massive losses to the Wigan side.

Ok pal. Clearly you know nothing about our team, not that I would expect you to as you don't support them but anyway.
The point remains. You were missing a few players and got battered. That can't happen if you want to win trophies.

| Course it can. Us losing to you has no connection to if we win the cup. Challenge cup and playoff games, all that matters now. We will raise our game again at the business end of the year, you lot should fully know that's how it works!

Of course, it's all about peaking at the right time. My point is, what happens if (god forbid) you lose Clark, Shenton and lynch to injury for the CC or just before the playoffs. It might happen or it might not but there is a possibility and it's these types of things you need to be able to deal with and still win games.
Also, what makes you so confident that you will raise your game for the business end of the year? Its not as simple as it sounds.

| There was a touch of jest involved. God knows mate. Not used to cas being 4th, semi of the cup and involved at the business end. Was just using some tested cliches!

Brilliant! well done indeed. needed a good laugh and this is pure gold.
Charnley is fit, in terms of not injured, not match fit.
Goulding, double winning centre from 12 months ago.....Overrated! one of the most underrated players in the whole wigan squad. a player criminally overlooked by opposition fans (and some Wigan fans, the classic scapegoat for our fans)
Thornley, double winning centre from his first full season in SL. scoring a try a game before his injury this season.
Taylor being rotated, missed 1 game. thats what wigan do better than any other team.
Pettybourne one of the star wigan players this season before his injury.
not to mention Clubb who was one of wigans biggest meter makers and playing fantastically, Green who has been pure class for wigan and Williams who has made a name for himself as the backup hooker.
A serious lack of knowledge on your part of the Wigan team.
First choice team would be
Bowen
Charnley
Goulding
Thornley
Burgess
Green
Smith
Taylor
McIlorum
Pettybourne
Bateman
Farrell
Lockers
Flower
Clubb
Williams
Crosby
Gelling has been excellent so may be pushing Daz or Thornley for the a centre position or a pushing one of the props/2nd rows out for a place on the bench for the pack. But Daz and Thornley have big batch experience which Gelling hasn't.
I really enjoy it when fans say people like Thornley are poor! did you watch the big games last year, he was brilliant!

| As for Charnley, he was poor pre-injury. Looked a shadow of the player he was last season.

| I think that puts an end to that conversation!
For what ever reason Wane was not picking Charnley. It could be injury, discipline or a mixture of the two. But wane made him wait and know he looks hungry!
How simple of opposition fans to think 'Charnley isn't playing and manfredi is therefore Charnley must be C***'

| I think success had started going to Joshes head and Wane knew what to do about it.
