Wane's the same after every defeat. On the surface he appears gracious and willing to concede that the better team won, but he always slips a few jabs in about how the opposition effectively cheated and how the referees incompetence allowed them to. It's pathetic really.

His parting 'jibe' was actually unintendandly funny. He said 'Castleford laid on in the tackle better than we did' He is actually admitting to cheating. In effect 'We cheated, but Castleford cheated even better'.

He was delighted when Wigan layed on at Manchester a couple of weeks ago , but not now , he said so much in the run up to the game because he thought Wigan were certanties to win yesterday . The Castleford performance was superb especially the second half tackling when up against it . With a bit more luck you could also be top of super league with close calls against Saints and the Midgets plus the ridiculous game turnaround time against the Rhinos.

The only downside yesterday was the aftermatch photos , it was a quarter final , leave those things untill you win at Wembley which i may say you now have every chance to do so

Cas fans and players think they have one the cup already. They forget the favourites are still in it and Warrington. Long way to go yet they may get to wembley but they will probably be playing a very good team when they get there.
It was there year in 98 and 99 wasn't it and got knocked out by London and Sheffield Si discount widnes either.

I still don't understand why people get so ed off by this. The team takes a photo with the fans after every single win not just this match - one of the waterboys/physio's Matthew Merrick is a sports photographer takes the photos. This isn't just a 'oh we won a quarter final, let's take a photo!'

I think its because cas have something special between the players and fans.
Its something most clubs would love.

We are a close knit family cub, who through all the adversity over the past 10yrs we have stuck together.

I have been over at my pals gaff in Prades, France for his 40th birthday party so couldn't get to the game, it's a good job that the locals couldn't speak very good English whilst we were watching the game in the bar there as i was ripping into that fat ape big time with some very explicit rants

Hi 1st post, but that is pretty much bang on. At home the players certainly do it after every win usually with their children/mascots as well. Just a bloody good family club bringing together the players fans and officials of the club. Team Cas.
