Fair play . They did their best . It wasn't good enough . But I for one ain't gloating about the fact they got a hammering . They will have to accept last night as part of their RL educational process . I am sure they will get over it . Onwards and upwards hey . Cas were absolutely crap on Friday. The rose tinted glasses gang, who regard realism as negative, can say what they want but we were shocking!! Many of the youngsters drafted in for Friday, have proved that they are up to SL standard as per the away game at Wigan a few weeks ago. Following on from last week we had every reason to be up for the game, however, as we saw they weren't up for it in the slightest on Friday.

On another note, did anyone else notice that the RFL's respect policy wasn't played even once on Friday despite the chants? Just an observation, but the message would have been played constantly for the same chants at Cas!

Before I saw the team I suspected we'd lose this game after the way we lost last minute in the semi and when I saw the team I had no doubts we'd lose but wasn't expecting such a hammering.

Like you grobs I don't subscribe to this idea that "we had a lot of players out so it doesn't matter". We were in the same boat as you say at Wigan and showed some pride there.

Much as I like Matterson as a coach I think he lacks that mean streak that says to the players "ok, we're up against it here lads but lets give 'em 'ell anyway and see what happens".

A certain SKY pundit said a few seasons ago that points difference is usually a good indicator of where teams will ultimately finish. He said that at a time when Cas were in about 8th or 9th place and looked safe from the drop but we had the worst points difference in the league. At the end of the season we finished 11th and were relegated.

Looking at our points diference now we're miles behind everyone else in the top 9. Hull KR are currently 4 pts behind us in 9th spot but watch this space...

What chants do you feel warranted the tape to be played? I certainly didn't hear anything offensive. Perhaps part of the fallout from the Gareth Thomas incident was the requirement to play the RESPECT policy blurb at your games? No?

No, it's simply because we may f and blind whilst singing but we are having a laugh or getting behind the team.
