Quote Cas Man="Cas Man"i was walking by at the time, the older guy was swearing at the young kids walking onto the pitch at half time the younger guy said he was a cas fan as well but that he was out of order, then they started scrapping and the older guy came off worse and was escorted out of the ground'"
I have been reading the site a while but have decided to sign up to comment on the above.
i am that younger lad referred to and i would like to explain what happened. basically, a few of us were walking from the west end to tha east end for the second half when we walked past the floodlight to hear a middle aged drunken man agressively abusing the young kids who were lined up waiting to go on at half time. it would appear one of the little cocky ones had told this bloke that his top (cas polo) was and this guy felt the need to offer them all out telling them to fetch their dads. he was calling them all sorts of words and i felt the need to remind him of their age and that he was an ebsarrassment to cas fans and that he was a disgrace. after a rew verbals exchanged (he actually tried to justify his actions by saying they swore at him) he came at me, the result being a punch up and him being escorted out of the ground.
i am not proud of what happened but felt the need to explain what happened as these sort of things can be escalated and the old case of chinese whisper sets in and before you know it people get into trouble.
sorry for tarnishing the reputation of the club's fans by fighting but i felt the guy needed telling and it was obvious he was after trouble and thats what he found.
it's not good to see and hear about other bits of trouble we appear to be getting into more and more bother recently which isn't good for the next round of SL francise applications. i know from speaking to tony (head steward at cas) that when the clubs meet at the RFL however often it is that cas are accused by all the other clubs has having the worst fans and that the club are fighting an up hill battle. this is obviously not good at all.
