| Quote: GIANT DAZ "yep, 2300 Cas fans - and i dont think you will find one Giants fan on these boards saying our turn out wasn't anything but poor for the importance of the game, I and most of the others that post on here went ,we cant do anything about the people that dont.'"
tell me if i'm (genuinely dont know)
at a guess i'd say West Stand holds 9000
East stand 7000
north stand 4500
south stand 4000
total capacity is 24,500
so the south stand hold circa 4000 you can not say is was only over half full the middle 4 gangways were full 15 ins before KO no seats left which leaves the end two. now i know for a fact the end bloack of seats was 90% full i was sat there and as for the opposite end block (next to east stand i think was only half full at best. overall i'd say 3200 cas fans easy!!!

there was under 2,400 Cas fans i was told that approx half an hour after the match ended.
the capacity of the stand was reduced because there was netting on some of the seats so the capacity of the stand on sunday was under 3,500 and none of the blocks were totally full

| If that stand we were in holds 4000, then maybe I'd say 2500-2700 Cas fans. There were quite a few empty seats in each front corner, the netted off areas and there were a fair few empty seats scattered amongst the crowd. I know this because there were 4 empty seats behind me and 2 in front of me.
As Daz said though, the Huddersfield fans and club will know their turnout was poor whether they had 3000 or 4000 (which is essentially the argument here) at the game.
Let's not turn this into a pointless debate. The fact remains, we took a lot of very vocal supporters to a game that many would have chosen not to bother with due to TV coverage and we should be proud of that. We sang our hearts out for 80 minutes. Let's think positive.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| It looked brilliant on tv, thats what it should be like every game, from what I have seen this season of Cas fans at our place, hudds and Hull, they can surely be up there with Wigan, Saints, Leeds, Hull KR, Hull FC, Warrington for good numbers of away fans.

I hope the Huddersfield tourism board are prepared for the sheer bulk of visitors. I reckon there'll be more Rovers fans in Huddersfield than Brits in Benidorm.

were even opening up Mirfield to accomodate them all - there will be 100 big screens set up between Huddersfield and Mirfield for them

Huddersfield probably had a couple of thousand fans in each stand. Still pretty poor, but I think they know that.'"
Just about spot on there mate. When we looked across to the Cas stand we could see plenty of empty seats among the crowd, but anyone in that stand would think it was pretty full. But the attendance was pretty much how it is for the cup at present, take Wigan they had less than 10000 for theirs which is way down.
That`s the problem with BBC having it live plus the fact it was a great day weather wise and a lot of wives and kids probably went off for the day.
But the Cas support was the best so far this season beating Saints Leeds Hull. Well done Cas.
