| Chissitt trust me there are as many Wakie trolls as Cas trolls but it is an open forum so that's how it goes.
As for picking holes in the statement, that's what debating is all about and you cant tell me you really think the council have said they will only back NM and not GH as is intimated in the statement.
Time will tell but i believe as much that comes out from both clubs as i do when MPs talk in the run up to an election

Being both a Trinity and a Barnsley fan I take offense to the above.
I can think of another sporting group Yorkshire can do without. One who had "fans" taken away in riot vans this weekend.
As was said on the Wakefield forum;
"People in Glasshoughton shouldn't throw stones."

Or, the real version of events: he got a talking to because Ganson took offence to being called a cheat and asked for said fan to be ejected, the police had a word with him that's all, but lets not let facts get in the way of your crap, eh?
Oh, and it was 1 person, not in a riot van, not multiple people so to say you're way off the mark, as per usual, is an under statement, now to copy the rest of your mob over on your forum:

| Is this not the Wakefield board?? Sorry I get confused with how much your on our board.
If it's wide of the mark that's fair enough but that was what I was told.
I guess when you get a reputation for causing trouble these things just catch on.
I'm sure the RFL know the truth about what happened, one thing is for sure though, if a team in another country dislikes you that must tell you something about A) your reputation & B) how the general RL community see your club.
TBF It is my main concern for a groundshare.

You post so much crap it is actually untrue, Crusaders seemingly like nobody, they don't like Fev, Widnes, Leigh for starts so there's another of your points gone.
Reputation? there is no reputation 15 teenagers, compared to a good 100 or so you lot have that have been smashing gravestones and peoples cars after games, glass houses and what not or is that conveniently forgotten about?
And you needn't be concerned about a ground share, because Newmarket is going to get called in and take at least 4 years, by which point you won't have a club to support because if the taxman hasn't had his way, whoever purchased Belle Vue, will have.

Again I'm not totally sure about this and may be wording it wrongly. From what I have heard, because Oakwell is only six mile from BV the RFL bylaws will consider it to still be a homeground and we could actually play there permanently if required at no detriment to our franchise. If Cas to move any existing stadium they will move out of there own district area and will no longer be Cas and lose a large number of franchise points.
So basically Wakey would get a franchise at Oakwell but Cas would not as there is no viable groundshare close enough. Again I may be wrong but it's what I've heard.'"
I suppose that depends on which crow you use! If you travel by car it's 9.9 miles!

| Called in by whom?
The government? Not at all. As much as i dislike old David, he and his group of toffs are all about economic regeneration, this plan sits perfectly within their view for the future, the council support the scheme; so if are required will give a glowing statement saying why the region needs this development. Then their is the big issue; cost. Applications to the SoS are being returned almost instantly due to the expense of an inquiry.
There was never an issue with LCC, only with one councilor and he has been told to keep his head down.
I suggest you speak to our resident developer Inflatable Armadillo (who is actually a Leeds fan), he will clear this issue up for you old boy.
Clutching at straws much?? Have a whiskey this evening Gaslight, it will help you get round the worry and sleep ahead of your announcement!

No clutching at straws from me, the fact you think Cameron gives a toss what's happening up north is slightly humerus though if Leeds council tried, your development would be dead within a month, far bigger (and richer) council with far more clout to do as they please.

But they don't object. As I and others connected with SWAG have tried to tell you LCC has been consulted from the start and shown nothing but cooperation, one councilor looking to consolidate his support spoke out, before deciding to go one step further and wrote to the planners. This was not well received by either WMDC or LCC as many of the facts he stated (greenbelt/traffic/drainage) were ill informed and almost libelous. He was quickly told to pipe down and keep stum.
Clear now?

I clearly said I might be wrong it's just something I heard. That said the county you are in is utterly irrelevant as far as I'm aware, a RL club is defined by it's development area and catchment area. I suspect but I may be wrong that Oakwell and Barnsley fall into that area for us. Added to this Barnsley has no RL team whilst Doncaster does, which for me rules it out as an option.
What Wakefield have in Barnsley all be it theoretical is not an emergency ground share which is all say Donny would be for you but and alternative ground available to them should Barnsley agree to a share.
This may not seem fair or right but in the narrow confines of the franchise system it makes total sense. If we moved to Barnsley we would tick absolutely every box in the franchise and gain a licence with ease. Whether it would work in economic terms in the long term I have no idea. Personally I don't think it would work any more than I think you ground sharing with Donny would.
Just because you don't like what outsiders say doesn't mean it's wrong or they are having a dig. If what I'm saying is valid is it not better to know and thus prepare your plan of action rather than stick your heads in the sand.
Or would you rather trust Mr Wright forever and a day, prove me wrong and remove that potential issue from the argument I'm hardly claiming what I say is gospel.
Or shall we just revert to the old Vasty is nasty, he's really awful to us blah blah blah
Anyway it could be worse, Peter Roe suggested Wakey and Cas merge, rent Featherstones ground and Fev take the extra SL place - anything I say is reasonable compared to that and he gets air time on the BBC! That is what we are all up against in the wonderful world of RL.
