I heard every word, i just looked at my daughter and shook my head, that was for the first chant. I did nothing else apart from watch the game. Does that make me as bad as the chanters i dont think so.

The second chant was more light hearted, i just smiled to myself when i heard it.

I continued to watch the game and forget totaly about the 2 chants, they ment nothing to me it was just banter as far as i was concerned.

I didn't realise it was illegal to say such things, maybe i'm naive......can someone tell me is it such an offence people can go to prison for it.

Slightly O/T but 6 mins into tonights Leeds - Saints game you can hear the Leeds fans singing about a certain ginger saints player. I wonder if they will be recieving a 40k fine....

lol if you think the two chants are similar in law you really do need help in understanding the ongoing situation.
Ignorance is not much of a defence,but as you say we will see.

What were the chants that lead to this dour fine, "We can see you holding hands" & what else? If it was "Gt takes it up the bum", is that homophobia?

The tribunal was chaired by his Honour Judge Rodney Grant who criticised the club for failing to take steps to stop the homophobic chanting.

=#8000FFWrong, we want equal punishments for everyone, or else the RFL will get laughed out of court at the appeal, and would be open to be sued by Cas if they don't take appropriate action against Leeds for their failure to stop abuse aimed at an opposition player (in the respect policy) and abuse aimed at the referee (again, in the respect policy).

Every relationship should be based on a bit of give and take.

PAC has got to be on here for the wind up. Otherwise the RFL respect policy would simply say.....'shout or chant whatever you want as long as you don't mention their sexuality.' As we all know....it actually says much more than that. The end!

I'd bet that the last thing your club needs right now is a confrontation with the RFL, so i'd seriously urge Cas to re-consider their actions more carefully and to actually be seen to actually do something about the problem

Why not make a stand as a club and ban these homophobic morons from your ground once and for all?
