I think his 'shocking' revelations about salary cap breaches in a cynical attempt to sell more books is a fair indication that he'll be retiring in the off-season; a lucky escape for Cas or WTW in my view.

To most Cas fans he will always be a thug for what happened in that Challenge Cup game - I don't know if you remember but his team went on to win the Cup that year, despite the fact that following that incident they ought not have progressed past the quarter final.
He's not up to it physically, nor has he been for the last two or three years as highlighted by the amount of time he's spent on the touchline. I also believe that his commitment is to Leeds and has been since he arrived there. His consistently woeful efforts in the national shirt are evidence of that.
He's past it and I can't see how he could possibly add any value to our squad. If he's not good enough for Leeds, why should he be good enough for us?

I don't think he's been good enough for Leeds for the past two seasons. At times his performances in a good Leeds team have been embarrassing for the guy. It's more like he's not good enough for Super League these days.
What about players who aren't good enough for Wakefield though?

Completely different situation at the other end of the extreme. A player with potential who's been part of an awful side subjected to boring, one-dimensional tactics and coaching. If you're talking about Josh Griffin, he could be a promising signing.

He's good in the air and can kick a couple of goals, that's about it really.

It was a brawl. BJ got flattened with a cheap shot. I've moved on. I have no idea who was in the final that year, my memory is too bad. I probably supported them in the final as a Yorkshire team.

Can't argue with the first 2 sentences at the top SL level. At international level he was one of the few GB players who was a threat. Sadly there was no-one better than him until a couple of years ago.

Fair enough. But we have had to put up with any number of players not good enough for top 4 teams for the 30 years I have been watching. It all depends on the package.

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

Lets put this Senior rubbish to bed. He isn't signing for us. Millward has said himself that all the signings we are making are players aged 24 and under.

| Ihave just been told Basil is bringing Frank Blackburn with him , from Leigh this could be a loss to the Centurions as Frank is very highly thought of there.

It was a bit of biff with one major element, that being Senior's punch to Mathers' face. It was right in front of the referee - he should've walked. He didn't and went on to score the two tries that made the difference at the end of the game. Sheffield then beat Salford in the semi-final and Wigan at wembley to win the cup. We all move on though and whilst this cuts deep it's only part of the reason for my dislike of Senior.
Quote: tigertot "Can't argue with the first 2 sentences at the top SL level. At international level he was one of the few GB players who was a threat. Sadly there was no-one better than him until a couple of years ago.'"
I don't ever remember him being a threat at international level - he certainly never came close to replicating some of the form he showed for Leeds. Quite frankly he was a waste of space playing for GB and England on many occasions, except the coaching staff never seemed to have the balls to try something different.

If it's true you've signed Griffin, I'd be very disappointed if I were a Cas fan. He's not as good as the players you've already got. He's nowhere near Super League standard and I'd be very surprised if there were no players in your academy who had more ability than him.

I disagree, while he wont be an earth shattering signing for Cas (if, he is actaully signing) he will do a decent job IMO.

So why didn't he do a "decent job" for Wakefield ? Majority of time he just looked disinterested and you would think Cas fans would remember him having a 1st half stinker in the clash at Probiz earlier this year.
