As if that would go against them.
The RFL are blinkered when it comes to teams like....crusaders.....catalans....quins.
It's the clubs who have played in the top flight and been a RL club for early 100 years they want to punish.
If it had been 95 they would turn a blind eye.

Quins is the big one for me, they've had long enough and they're still poor.
Catalans have proved to me that they're capable of bringing a lot to the game.
Crusaders? The juries still out.

Fair do's with catalans they get the crowds at home.
Problem with them are no away fans apart from a coupleof dozen.
Also get there quota down to the same as the rest and see how they cope.
To many aussies for me in the squad.

I agree, they've had long enough with special treatment and should play on a level playing field with the rest of us.
Unfortunately the travelling fans is something that will always remain the same with them, I'm sure most fans agree that travelling to France once a season is hard enough, it's much more difficult for their fans.

Fingers crossed for two full houses in two new grounds in a couple of years. I know the in and outs of it, but there is no harm in hoping!'"
With you on that.
If we were united on one thing, it was that neither wanted to be joined in with the other.

| Quote: casman2 "It doesnt make a difference whether we own our ground or not.
The reason we will need to share a ground until ours is built is so that we play in ground that meets SL standards - which at the moment the Jungle doesn't (this is why Wakey will be sharing with Barnsley - temporarily)
Should we choose the option not to find anyone to share with we will be rejected for a license and down in NL1'"
I'm not sure about the exact detail of this but Wakey have an advantage on this groundshare thing, if you can call losing your home ground an advantage . Again I'm not totally sure about this and may be wording it wrongly. From what I have heard, because Oakwell is only six mile from BV the RFL bylaws will consider it to still be a homeground and we could actually play there permanently if required at no detriment to our franchise. If Cas to move any existing stadium they will move out of there own district area and will no longer be Cas and lose a large number of franchise points.
So basically Wakey would get a franchise at Oakwell but Cas would not as there is no viable groundshare close enough. Again I may be wrong but it's what I've heard.

| The official Cas site says we have to wait for a statement until tomorrow.
Why on earth it takes 2 days to come up with a statement I have no idea.
Especially when the likelihood is that the statement will be more drivel anyway.

Don't you just hate it when people do that, making up stuff to suit their own argument.
Quote: TRT "It was said in the announcement that only NM has the full backing of the council. '"
Quote: TRT "Except it didn't say that. Read the link I provided to the actual statement on the Wakefield club site.'"
Ah nice one tb, you spotted it before me. Don't you just hate it when people make stuff up to suit their own argument!
So yeah, i'm happy for Wakey that they feel confident they can go it alone and get their own stadium built. I'm happy both clubs wish to work towards getting a SL quality stadium to take both clubs forward. I'm also happy for the proper rugby league fans of Wakefield that they are not just going to have their club role over and disappear.
But ffs Wakey fans, don't come on here spouting blatant lies to make your progression sound better than it really is and even more importantly, better than our own progression. Propaganda is used in wars, not stadium building, so keep all that crap that some of you have in your heads that you seem to think is "the truth" and leave it there. Stop coming on here or telling the world that you know a guy in India who has the contract to hand mould the bricks that will be used to build your stadium. We're both in need of the stadiums and we're both in the same boat. It's not a competition between us to win the one and only place left in SL. I don't understand how any Cas or Wakey fan can begrudge the other anything when we are so similar in needs right now. For me it's similar to when we beat Widnes in the GF. I'll always sympathise with them because they are as big a club as us and we could have so easily been in their position right now. So get on with doing all you can for your clubs and supporting your team and feck right off with all this crap that seems to be flooding our boards, especially the crap that is totally untrue!

What wakey fans, there is only the one what has mentioned anything, on the other hand if you care to go on the Wakey board you will see who is spouting all the crap squire, gasbag, riggins, bigalf, and ambernotyeller to name but a few and not very pleasant with it either, we have made our statement of intent, I suggest your club do the same and get about your business of building your new stadium instead of trying to pick holes in the statement read out at our game yesterday.

So Oakwell can be considered Wakefield's home ground when it isn't even in the same County?
