Standing up to the forum bully.
It must be working, he doesn't like me...i'm devastated: |

Not the first time this chant has been sung by the moronic element of their fans, ( but the first time its been heard via sky) and rightly condemned by the right minded fans on their board, but IMO its as bad as the chants, sung by the minority of Cas idiots, directed to Thomas.
Wonder if the RFL will dish out equal punishment ?

This, and Matt King's Barber's' post on the first page, are probably two of the most idiotic posts I've ever read on this site. And that's saying something.

Oh I don't know: Thatcher is pretty low in my estimation, but I'm prepared to admit that Matt King's Barber is indeed less than three of her.

I am writing to complain about the abusive and expletive-littered chanting directed towards Hull FC player Paul Cooke during the above game.
Early in the game, Hull FC supporters could be clearly heard chanting; "Die, die, Cookie [Paul Cooke] f***ing die". This is in clear contradiction of the RFL's Respect policy which states that
I think if you are going to send a letter you should at least give the correct information

| Quote: MrPhilb "To Wakefield for not stemming the chanting??'"
an interesting point this, which has been alluded to before
It would seem from the wording of the cas fines that the home club is responsible for the behaviour and chanting of the crowd but that becomes more difficult if it is the away fans who are causing problems
you could end up with a situation hypothetically where next Wakefield could organise a few rent-a-thugs, ply them with beer and get them to behave in an unacceptable manner and cost cas £20k in suspended fines and damage their franchise bid
is this fair? who is ultimately responsible for the behaviour of away fans?
or even better, dress them in cas shirts and plant them in the crowd, would struggle to identify them then

Honours degree [imagna cum laude[/i do you? Not that I'm into an academic dick-comparing competition – arguments from authority only work if there's an actual authority. And you aren't.

why what?
why would they do this?
I did say hypothetically and I think the RFL have started down a path which they need to follow up to eliminate all abusive chanting but,...
it was suggested, and probably correctly, that wakefield should be punished for not stemming the abusive chanting of a group of Hull fans.
the final franchise place is broadly accepted as a run off between wakefield and cas or some forced merger
in some people's view damaging cas's franchise bid would in some way enhance wakefields

Why is carrying out your responsibility to steward and police your ground more difficult when it comes to away fans?

Oh Ok
yes that is their responsibilty but identifying them and taking action could prove more difficult.
Cas have done well in identifying 3 fans after the event but if they were away fans or new fans how would they do this?
For away fans it would probably require immediate physical intervention and eviction from the ground and I'm not convinced the stewards we get at RL are capable or trained enough to do this. Maybe the point is they should be and need to be.
