| Winger's prime aim is to score tries, If Griffin gets 20 plus tries thats good enough for me. He will tighten up on his defence. Would you prefer Michael wainwright wholehearted never beat a man but tackled well. No Griffin every time.
Look at martin Offiah the best modern day winger by a country mile twice as good as Ryan Hall, he never tackled a man, but score nearly 500 tries. Scoring is the main function of a wingman else you would but someone like Stauart Jones there.

If you have a good centre inside him the winger should be alright in defence really.

Arundel and Dixon will have to swap back to the right centre/ wing where they
played last year.
play Griffin in centre on the left side with youngquest

| Griffin had good games at Wakefield as a winger. As a centre i thought he was not as good. Against leeds at home he played centre and in defence it lead to Watkins scoring 3 or 4 on the wing due to him tackling the wrong man inside. He always seemed better on the wing for me. I think he is a SL standard winger (and has played fullback in the academy i think).

| When he was with us (Batley) in 2010 and made his pro debut, he was absolutely dreadful for the first 7 or 8 games he played. I mean REALLY dreadful - couldn't catch a pass, make a break or tackle for toffee. Then, all of a sudden, he picked up and looked a potent weapon. IMO, he's a kid who played for a bit too long in the Academy, up against kids he could bully around at will due to his size and speed. This was to the detriment of his game, as up against players he could easily handle - as opposed to being thrust into first-team action up against real men - little attention was paid to faults in his game. He's got definite ability and some great attributes, but needs some serious coaching.

Spot on - I believe it was his spell in the centre that saw him fall out of favour with Wakey fans; he was atrocious.
As it stands, he's looking like a potent winger; 7 tries in 3 games - that equals his tally with us for us a whole season.

Yup. It makes perfect sense. His positional play is a bit shocking at times. On the wing, you can get away with it, in the centre forget it. He is a good finisher and we have 3 centres (that is excluding McGoldrick who is too fat and slow and Ferres who isn't a centre but did a half decent job last season) so why bother?
Use Grehan and Thompson for now. When Arudal is back problem solved.

| By a country mile Josh is not the finish article yet, however when we've got Millward back in camp I'm sure that he'll work in his positional play and defense. He does at least know where to score a try.....which is always a good starting block.
Goldy however, IMO, has had very little to offer us for quite a few years now.

| I've been genuinely impressed with him so far to be honest. I don't think he has any flaws that can't be worked on with the help of experienced players and a good coach, and we have both of those. I guess we just have to be patient with him, but I certainly hope he maintains his current strike rate.

| Good attacking wise but defence is woeful. Hopefully this will be rectified with the right training.
