| Quote: Paul Youane "If somebody was paranoid you might think somebody who had been "cited" 16 times with 13 no charges, 1 not guilty and 2 not serious enough for a suspension might actually have an argument for being unfairly targeted by match officials.'"
Or the RFL don't have the balls to ban a "big name" player.

You keep telling yourself that.
I said at the time that there was nothing in the Morley incident, a split second late but Sherwin was going down and at a wierd angle.
As for Carvell, think he's fortunate to get 1 match.

Really
I will be amazed if anyone but a Wire fan could share your view.
Disgraceful challenge that should have been dealt with at the time and the fact he has still got away with it beggars belief.
Although this is the RFL

I personally think there was a total over-reaction to the challenge, especially when looked at from all angles. If he'd have got banned for it, the RFL would have to ban anybody that touched another player a split second late.

| The fact that Carvell got a ban shows that the ref bottled it-had he made the decision hed should have, there's no doubt we would have won, Briers or no Briers!
Bad on you Ben Thaler or as some prefer to call him Ben Failure!

But he wasn't, I think your trying to see something that wasn't there.
Morleys arm was straight and at chest height, when he made contact it bounced up off the body and then went round the head. (Not a high tackle by the RFL rulebook).
I genuinely think there has been a complete over reaction, the tackle happened a second after the ball was released, not exactly enough time for someone to pull out when they were running at the speed Morley was.

He didn't raise his arm, which hit Sherwin flush in the back of the head AFTER the ball had been released, it should have been a straight red nevermind a ban, the only reason he didn't get a ban is because of his name, if it was say Sargent who hit Briers we would have been talking about a 4 game ban and you lot ranting & raving about it being the worst thing to ever happen in the history of the game because it happened to your beloved Lee Briers.

Correct a split second. Which in a fast paced Superleague game is nothing.

| Quote: citywolf "As you've said yourself he didn't raise his arm. He only made contact with his head after it bounced off his body. NOT A HIGH TACKLE.
He may have been late but there was a second in it, when travelling at the speed he was it was impossible for him to stop.
The fact that Sherwin wasn't hurt is testament that he pulled out of the tackle and only conected with a very weak arm to the body.'"
If it wasn't a high tackle, why did he get charged? Surely he would have been given no case to answer?
