Jason came through the Salford academy and was doing well, but he was a victim of the the whole mess john Wilkinson left us in and had to be let go, we have resigned Adam walne this year from Workington who was let go along with jason last year. The lad has potential and if he signs for you I hope he does well .

Jason left us a good 12 months before Adam Walne and it wasn't for financial reasons it was more to do with attitude and application. He has now apparently grown up and matured considerably as a person and as a player which has evidently earned him another shot in SL.

He's still only 22/23 and runs riot in the centres, he can do a good job back row also, like I said above I'm disappointed we've not brought him back.

Jason left us at the end of the 2009 season a full 3 years before Adam Walne; Karl Harrison snapping him back up to go to Batley. As was alluded to earlier there were said to be issues with missing training etc & McRae decided to let him go.

Looks more than capable of making the step back up to SL level whenever I see him on Thurs night games, will be a promising signing for whoever gets him.

Well the way I see it, you aren't gonna just sign an all-star squad for next season. To me it just can't happen. I think you''ll need to make some 2-year deals on some good young players mixed with a few experienced ones to gradually develop a squad that only needs tweaking from time to time. The improvement will be there, just much more gradual than the "we will win the league next year" attitude which could well backfire.

You already have some good quality players, such as Theo Fages who I think is awesome, and obviously Gleeson in the centres... You can build around players like this rather than pulling on people from all over and jumbling them together.

Elliot Whitehead was a fantastic signing IMO

Danny Williams and Meli (if we do get him) should bag a few tries playing outside of Gleeson (who has still got it) and Junior S'au.

Walton will be in Salford squad next season.
