| If I was a Wakey fan I'd be very tentative about the statement, I don't think it says a great deal but it's worded very cleverly to make it appear as though it says a lot. Perhaps they've been getting tips from RW?
Cas need to put out a statement saying that Glasshoughton is still moving forward this morning because there will be a lot of Cas fans worrying about that statement too. The council need to give some information out as well.

| Speaking to one of the councillors recently - He mentioned that both Cas and Wakey think they're much further in front than the other with regards to the stadium, when both are just about level in their developments
Does not bode well for either club IMO - however, with the news that Wakey may groundshare with Barnsley at Oakwell should their license be renewed, just who will we groundshare with us until ours is built?

We dont need to groundshare with anyone, we still own our ground unlike them over there.

| When are people going to realise.....
it doesnt matter if we both get our stadiums, the RFL dont want either in the competition.
Lets say Cas get there stadium and Wakey dont (or vice versa) then there will be arguments that we are too close to leeds and bradford the.
The RFL dont want teams in the competition that punch above their weight. They want 14 powerhouses from all accross europe, sadly for us, Cas, Wakey, Salford dont fall into this category.
In 10 years time, if the clubs we love are still running we will be playing in NL1. Thats is how i see it going.
The game is run by amatures, the RFL are bent and will screw over any club and forget the proud history of the clubs and the game to get where they want!!

In that case then the game will die, look at the leagues puppies in wales, a massive 1495 or so to watch 2 teams battling for the top 8...................................................................
Roll on the championship and honest competition instead of the bent superleague joke

I fully agree with this, i would rather play in NL1 with a local team then try to please the joke of an organisation the run our game!!

Starting to feel the same.
I must admit i enjoyed NL1 rugby, maybe because we was winning, it does help.
My only problem with it is we would lose all our good players....westerman, chase, owen, and a few others.

It doesnt make a difference whether we own our ground or not.
The reason we will need to share a ground until ours is built is so that we play in ground that meets SL standards - which at the moment the Jungle doesn't (this is why Wakey will be sharing with Barnsley - temporarily)
Should we choose the option not to find anyone to share with we will be rejected for a license and down in NL1

It did last time due to the Portaloos
The RFL were happy to accept promises last time, I don't think they will be so lenient this time. Empty promises from us or Wakey are not acceptable - after all, Salford, Saints and Crusaders have already made other plans and pretty much got their stadia sorted

I doubt that will be the case if our stadium is on track.
I'm pretty sure the reason Saints are moving is because of terms of the land sale as well as the fact that they've stated that remaining in KR has become too expensive otherwise they'd have probably stayed put.
I'm sure we can afford to remain at the Jungle until our new stadium is built.
