| It would be daft to compare him to Chase because Rangi is a one-off, even his team mates don't know what he is going to do with the ball. Maybe the team will be more structured with Seymour, and like other posters have said, I trust Powell's judgement. The squad seems to be shaping up nicely.

| I've see seymour take teams apart and on his day there's no denying he has the quality. Give him the support he needs and you have yourself a very good player. Just to pick up on one post which says "Seymour is a quality player and had a bad time at hull and his problems went unnoticed by those who seen him everyday says a lot really". As anyone who has lived or known someone suffering from depression, it can be incredibly hard to pick up as sufferers often act completely rational when in company. Brett got an awful lot of support from Hull when his condition was diagnosed and I know that I speak for all of the when I say that I hope he has a blinder next year. Good luck Brett, Good luck Cas. Here's hoping you're in super league in 2015.

| Quote casman2="casman2"Speaking of which. In the halves we have Ellis, Dorn, Seymour & Sneyd. Good depth and experience.
Need to begin signing a few forwards now'"
I think we could experiment with having Ellis at Loose Forward.
He has the size (don't think he could lose the bulk we have been hoping for), he's mobile, defence is no worse than the rest and adds more ball handling skills to the pack.
Then we could have Seymour and Sneyd at half backs.

| As an FC fan who watched Seymour in great detail last season (and the beginning of this year) I think he could go really well in an environment that plays to his strengths. We signed him in a mad panic to bring on board someone who can play scrum half. But like Gentle said he's more of a 6 than a 7 and if you look at his career in the NRL he was most effective at stand off. Yes he has had off field issues but I think it would be great for the game if someone who has experienced mental health issues comes back and performs at the highest level. Of course he won't be a Rangi but I think he will more than prove to be a shrewd signing for Cas and judging by the comments of your fans on this thread, he looks like he's going to get plenty of support from the terraces. Good luck buster!

| Good luck to him and hope he goes well for you.
Sure he's not Rangi but you dont get to play over 120 first grade NRL games if you're rubbish.

| Quote redtillamdead79="redtillamdead79"like ive stated on other posts, darryl powell is no mug and knows how to get the best out of his players, hes also very face to face and gets close with his players which is a very good point to have, ive never heard a bad word said about powell where as other coaches i have, noble millward mcrea etc they are good talkers and walked into teams that were already the best in the league, but when they tried other coaching jobs this is where they started getting slated by other players about their coaching styles.
Seymour is a quality player and had a bad time at hull and his problems went unnoticed by those who seen him everyday says a lot really.
powell will have cas ticking he knows the right players to sign, look at what he did at featherstone with limited resources and funds, he had no major signings like leigh halifax etc but had the team playing well and enjoying their rugby and for me a team thats enjoying playing for someone and eachother will prove successful, mark my words cas will be nowhere like the cas youve seen this season they will be up there. like ive stated id of rather signed powell as coach before rangi chase .'"
You can't polish a turd.....Seymour back because he cant get a gig at home.....more of the same from him at Cas Vegas

| he would arguably get better money playing 2nd grade "at home" though than for Cas.

| Happy to see him given a chance, felt awful for the guy when it came out about the depression etc. One year deal is a good move, immediately playing to impress for a new contract not that he wont have enough he wants to prove to everybody. Good luck Brett
