Gaslight, you are making yourself look even more stupid with every comment you make. For the record, I haven't been to a single Wakefield game this season. Your comments about writing off debt are way off the mark and based on no knowledge of the situation at all, pure conjecture. My statements are based on the following, and read the words very carefully, in fact put your finger under each of them as do if it helps.
The staement said ' The Newmarket Project was the only one of the 2 that had full backing of all the parties involved INCLUDING Wakefield Council' I am pretty sure that if Glasshoughton was going to be shown as the most feasible project, Mr Box would have done his utmost to carry that out and last time I looked, Mr Box was the leader of the same Wakefield Council giving full backing to the Newmarket project but NOT the Glasshoughton project.
Was that plain enough for you?

Psst, the council have being saying for a few years they give FULL BACKING to Glasshoughton, are you really that slow you can't comprehend the council support both stadiums, but can't fund both?
On top of that, humour me, in what way is Newmarket a better site then Glasshoughton?

The main reason is that it is halfway between! Newmarket is not really classed by Wakefield people as being in Wakefield. Other than that I have no idea why it is better. What do you think I am, involved?

Having read this I must admit I agree with the previous poster and "fear the worst". RBTL this suggests WMDC are going with Wakefield and Newmarket. I suppose it could just be the way it's written & Wakefield want us to think that. Wonder if we'll know more after the Fans Focus Group on Thursday?

| Really hope so mate! Its what every single one of us in either red, white and blue, or black and amber want.
Fingers crossed for two full houses in two new grounds in a couple of years. I know the in and outs of it, but there is no harm in hoping!

Seeing as everybody is beating Wakefield at the moment, to lose by only 44 points to St Helens is currently classed as a moral victory!
Knowing that Wakefield were going to make a statement today, based on a meeting that took place last week, what is deafening at the moment is the silence from the Richard Wright camp!

Except it didn't say that. Read the link I provided to the actual statement on the Wakefield club site.

| From what's been said on Sky Sports News it sounded to me more like Wakefield are looking to go it alone with Newmarket.
