| Quote: DJKYLE "Don't talk out of your bumhole mate, the segregation was not well managed at all. It meant that anyone wanting to go to the bar had to travel the full width of the ground to do so. ONE SINGLE catering unit in the princess street stand for 5000 people. One block of toilets because the other was out of order. Disgusting "service".
The wheldon road end had plenty of space free and the rest of the ground was squashed in - dangerously in some areas i might add in an emergency. I've also never heard the ground chant so less for such a busy occasion - why? Because The non-member cas fans were scattered all over the place.'" ]
I did not call you names I would also like to be allowed the same courtisy. How is spending £100 for my wife and I saving us money and does that allow us to stand where we want. Did you go to the same educational establishement as Richard Wright.

| To all of you who have said to my family who have been alianated from Cas tigers WC stadium. To support what they ( the board ) are trying to do improve match day for home and away fans. 1. How does it improve it for my family and I. We have been told to move wheather we like it or not.
2. Why don't we buy the £50 two match tickets. That would make it dearer to what we pay now and we still would not be able to go to the WRE.
3. My family have supported Cas for 25+ years and we have been able to go where we like in the ground in them years. We settled in the WRE where we made lots of friends. My wife and I go to almost all away matches which we will still do and stand/sit in the away end as we are supposed to do as directed by the away stewards. But to be told by the home stewards you are not allowed to go there ( WRE ) any more that is a bit much.
To summerise then.
Cas tigers are trying something that works for some but not for others. They are willing to upset some fans but hope they will get used to it, if not they can go elsewhere. My wife and I work shifts so cannot always go to all home matches but as someone mentioned on the forum. Your £300 - £400 does not make that much difference to Cas so that made my mind up. Maybe it will to some other local team.

"Stand by me as I stand by you, be brave and dare to dream".: |
|
| This has been done to death. Failing to move with the times is one of the reasons Cas are playing catch up. At a time when the club needs everyone more than ever do we really have to be so divided?
I'm still not convinced that the members only stand is necessary, but I applaud the club for trying something new. I'm sure the whole thing will be reassessed at some point to decide whether to continue with it or not. Personally I find the whole "I've stood there for x amount of years" argument a bit flawed to be honest. No-one is stopping anyone from standing in the general area that they've always stood in. The club are merely asking you to pay in a different manner than that which we are accustomed to. We have to embrace change or the club will cease to be there.

"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League":d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_39793.jpg |

If you had bought the £50.00 Bronze you can go in the WRE all season.
Presuming you pay on the gate that makes it £8.00 dearer for each of you to get the membership, but you can easily make that up and more with all the discounts you get.

| I know quite a few fans who have paid on the gate at the Leeds game and wanted to go in the WR end. Most didn't know about the Bronze membership scheme allowing you to go into the WR end.
I even know one supporter who (even though he has a bronze membership) paid in on Sunday , left his card at home (because he would be using it at another game) and did'nt know about been able to show the card to get in the WR end.
This is going to take time to settle in - but i'm sure it will work out OK. I have a silver card and I didn't have any problems at all on Sunday.

| Mixed feelings on this one. I've said on here before, because of work I've never bought a season ticket before as its just not offered value. But after SF's plea, I bought one. I'm glad, even proud I did it. Also it's great I no longer have Twenty odd quid to stick on the fuel bill, programme etc. The big problem I had at the weekend is I always bring a mate. I want to get the club more fans, and it puts brass in the coffers. But this means if I want to stand with my mate I can't. As I live miles away my only perk is of the membership, I can't use. Rather frustrating. Also the cardy type season ticket thing clearly says enter at any ticket turnstyle. I queued for twenty mins. I double checked with a steward who said it was fine. When I got to the front, I was very rudely told she wouldn't let me through with a season ticket. So my mate went through and had to wait while I queued again. I've got to admit I did wonder why I bothered.

Get your mate onto a broze membership for 50 quid - problem solved.

| Its not just one person I bring mate, I have a few mates! Some would say its suprising, but its true . So each one would have to buy one, thus making it harder for me to talk them into it.

| But it's worth the cost if they attend two games, surely?

| Ahem... Hate to say this but Bronze Membership is £60. The £50 offer period is over now.

| Correct: but I think we are emphasising that it could have been bought for £50.00 in the past.
Even at £60.00 it's a steal, particularly if you buy Cas merchandise and go out for a meal post-game to Xscape.

I agree, but getting people to part with £60 isn't easy nowadays. I'm going to have to live with it I know, but it is a pain in the arris.
