| Would like to see it put to bed early doors and see the pack dominate allowing Rangi and Orr to run the game. 36-10

| Johnson has been looking good at prop for wakey, Gledhill is another prop who played about 10 games last year, hes back in full contact but not sure if he'll be ready.
Cas are stronger on paper ( not by too much).
As a wakey fan im just hoping for a decent display and see a few good SL debuts for Vievers, Johnson, Howarth and co. Would be nice to nick a win but will require a big effort.

| You must be afraid of tempting fate.
With only 2 props? a backs-against-the-wall attitude may keep Wakefield in the game for 20 mins or even the first half, but in the second half it should be fill your boots time for Cas with players lining up to score.
If you get less than 50 you should be disappointed against the current squad. Hopefully there will be some strengthening before the season is too old and we can get our revenge later, but for now.... not a chance.

| Cas has a much stronger squad. We looked good against a very good Hull pack and Wakey isn't anything like it used to be. Danny Orr will have a massive effect on the game by simply freeing Rangi to do his thing. On a big wide pitch the Wakey defence won't be able to stop Chase from breaking the line.
Wakey on the other hand have had a miserable pre-season. Their first team got beaten by Huddersfield's under 20's. And reports are they were very poor at Bradford last week.
My prediction is that the Cas pack led by our big front row will grind down the Wakey pack. Orr will lead us round the park, Rangi will score a couple and Mathers will show the form from the CC Final last year - 42-16 Cas.
Come on you Ford, Come on you Ford, Come on you Ford

| We should be aiming to spank them off the park, to be honest. We need to stick as many nails in their coffin as possible.

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

| Hudds played us with 2 props last year and we took them to the cleaners so I will go with the same score as that.
Cas 44 - Wakey 18.

No, by a bloody lot! Someone posted on another forum, which Wakey players would you take if you did go down. I answered none, simply because I don't think any of them would improve our squad. I'd maybe take Obst but I think he's too like Rangi.

I would take morrison and obst to add depth if they werent qouta, but they are so i wouldnt bother.
Ferguson and murphy i would take though.
Apart from that there is no one in the wakey squad that would interest me.

| I have no desire to fight your opinion on as thats all they are (as are mine) and naturally they will differ. Agree to disagree.
Im looking forward to the match up and cas wakey games always make up a good duel.
Murphy should be number one on list for most SL clubs to take from wakey, he has potential to be a GB back and had a good year last year saving many tries and causing defences problems. Hopefully he will kick on this season but if he does i can't see us keeping him unless wakey get a franchise which is in the balance.
george scores for fun and just needs an injury free run.

| The trouble with Murphy is that he plays full-back, centre or at a push wing. Arundel has the potential to be just as good, if not better and we obviously have Isa and Goldy who can play there. Is he better than Owen, Dixon or Youngquest? I don't know.

| I just hope that this season McGoldrick keeps his mouth shut and not get in the refs face or oppostion players.

| He had some awesome games at fb and that's where his future may lie. Think he is better than Dixon and youngquest at present and on par with Owen. One would hope to see a handful of cas and wakey youngsters progress to gb standard.
Young players form goes up and down so it's all a case of wait and see for the likes of mutiny, arundel etc.
Wakey will need to play to the outsides and if we fail to do that and try to batter teams down the middle we will come up short most times I fear unless we get hickey over soon and gledhill back to fitness.
