Shame. We could've had a good discussion about local rivalry and what really fuels it and if it is/has died out somewhat in recent times.

I recall Cas fans singing We All Hate Leeds everytime Tom Harks was played after a try.
Perhaps it just got a bit old and 'uncool', but local rivalry is what makes sport a bit more spicey. It's always nice going on Jollies to major European Cities like London, Edinburgh, Barcelona or on the lash on coaches over t'penines and into Wales, but there is nothing like being on the terraces, a sell out crowd, lots of passion, knowing that you will be on opposite sides of the fench from friends, work colleagues, possibly at times family, and that bragging rights will be on offer for a good time yet.
The banter, for some people, will make work a little more bearable for a while afterwards, or make a child who's mam and dad are on the dole because they have been laid off work just a little happier, knowing their team have got one over their rivals.

Instead, we get "my dad is bigger than your dad" drivel for 12 pages.

I know and some of us have better things to do than sift through it to find the decent posts like yours.

No wonder I don't bother much with this forum these days...
