| Quote: Twentyman "This kind of attitude gets proper boring. Some decisions go for you, some go against you. Like a few Huddersfield fans last week you only pick up on the decisions that go against you.
Cas are a top drawer side, they just fluffed it near the end. There's no favouritism , and just a reminder that we didn't even finish top 4 last year.
All best!!'"
I'm not a Cas fan which makes your post a joke at best. One man's fluff at the end is another man's cock up by the officials. The most boring thing is how often it happens.

| Hard luck today you was top class for first half. Played some great entertaining rugby and classy Cas was on show.
I also like Powell, I think he's a top coach that shows class.
Good luck for rest of the season.

It doesn't matter if you're not a Cas fan. You're still only seeing the decisions that go for Saints than the one's that go against them. You clearly have some misguided prejudice against Saints (and I'm guessing a few others). It clouds your judgement a bit. Cas snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. It won't happen to often though cos they've got plenty of attacking class.

Unfortunately you've no argument against my main point about the poor decision that allowed St Helens to win. I don't care about cas or saints which probably makes me well placed to comment. Certainly better placed than you unless I've misread you as an out and out saints fan?

| Gutted, just lacked some composure at the end to close the game down. Hopefully the team has earned more peoples respect and we currently deserve to be where we are.
Where I was stood at the ground I couldn't see the screen clearly but lots of people were talking about the Turner incident outside the ground.
Saints luck may run out at the business end of the season, using up some at the moment!

| The officials are garbage. 2 calls tonight cost Cas the game on both occasions try`s resulted . Same on Sunday against the Giants.
I want to believe that refs are completely fair and aboveboard, but this week is making me think they are not. And why are touchjudges not getting involved more if a ref has not seen something, or does not want to see it.

Yes, I am a Saints fan. I naturally get caught up in the drama but I can be subjective and see when decisions go for us.
My issue was with the trendy top 4 comment. There was a lot said about that last week too. I don't believe the RFL or the officials have any bias towards Saints, Wigan, Leeds etc Decisions go for and against you, it balances out over the season. We had a try disallowed for a forward pass tonight, at a time when we kept dropping ball and losing momentum. It doesn't always go for us. You create your own luck though. You put pressure on the opposition and give the ref more to think about.
Anyway, we'll agree to disagree. No bickering intended mate.

| Absolutely gutted!!!!!!
Thought we didn't help ourselves in the 2nd half, at times it looked like we were the team behind throwing some risky passes which ultimately contributed to the defeat (alongside some strange refereeing). Once we got into the position that we did at half time, we should have stuck to the basics in the 2nd half, rather than trying fancy moves, which is what cost us in several games last year.
One thing tonight enforced for me though was that we can mix it with anybody this season, and when a team comes to the Jungle, they are going to have to work very hard to leave with anything.

| To me it seems like your game plan was to blow us away early on and then control the game from then on in.
First 20 from you was some of the best rugby I've seen all season and was vintage saints. Really good to watch.
Second half I think you struggled to match that intensity and started making errors and that let us back in. Lack of composure when it counted too. One to learn from.

That decision didn't allow Saints to win. Cas allowed Saints to win. Cas were 24-6 up at halftime and worthy of their lead. They played some fabulous stuffn in the first half but seemed to lose their way in the second.
If Cas can bounce back from that defeat then there is no reason that the season can't be a great one.

| well i for one am not gonna get involved in the officiating argument, it was bad yes but lets not get away from the fact it was a great game to watch deserving of a top of the table clash, i was at the match so didn't see it on sky but if it looked even half as good as it did at the ground then the neutrals at home will have enjoyed it.
we lost yes but we put in a good performance against unbeaten saints and very nearly beat them we are showing we are currently in the top 4 cos we deserve to be. we have put in performances against saints and wigan both teams in the playoffs last season and beat wigan the double winners considering we finished 12th last season steve gill, darryl powell and danny orr have done an amazing job since the end of last season

| Only managed to watch the highlights
I would say cas probably deserved the win but the way saints can win whilst pretty much being the second best team is fantastic.
Luck has certainly gone saints way in the last two weeks and no one can argue with that but no one can argue that saints are back to their entertaining best and I'm so glad to see them performing how I have always loved them to perform.
Good luck to cas for the rest of the season. I have always had a soft spot for them And have always been my second favourite team.
