| Gilmour will be good for our club, winning mentality and a professional attitude. Works hard on and off the field and remember Brad Davis coming back? He was brilliant for us every time he played regardless of his age. Gilmour will help Ollie Holmes no end.

In the way, that he is way past his best, if he is what you consider to be a good signing, you must be in a really bad way, and that still does not excuse it as anything other than a very poor signing.

gilmore would walk into the wildcats side as he would the cas team , based on the fact that he is better than players at both clubs currently playing in his position.
Might be past his best still good enough for a place in any club outside the 6/7 top clubs in sl.

I would agree that a few years ago he would have been a shoo in, but not now, the fact that he is as good as what we may already have is no reason to sign him, IMO he is robbing a wage from a younger player, who minus the experience would add just as much and has his career ahead of him.
Good luck if its what you guys want, he wouldn't be for me.

| TBF we have a few banging on the door, however the deal for Ali, which has been brilliant by the way is probably a stop gap until players are actually good enough (slightly different).
I am not aware that we have bid for Gilmore, i would personally be disappointed if that were a FACT, we should be looking to "bring through" or if we must "bring in", bring in better!!!

| Steve Menzies is without question a freak, and would get in almost all SL sides, with the greatest of respect to Gilmour he is (or should be) in a different league.
Gilmour has been a good player, but he is palying for his pension fund now IM humble O.

Menzies certainly is something very different.

| The Vinnie Anderson to Cas rumour is a new one to me but I would be very excited if this is true. He has the experience to help Cas where the inexperience of Holmes and Thompson has worked against us. Alos, if we sign Gilmour it would also provide cover for Webster and Shenton so we can leave JT to develop into a quality back rower.
