Star players, tactics, after match entertainment etc

All their players are stars according to the Laners, tactics- never tackle below the neck-line, after match entertainment, there is usually a television on in A&E.

Dirty side then?

No star players this year to be honest. Tactics? well look at the NCL1 table whatever they are they are not working. As for entertainment, as much beer and pork scratchings in the clubhouse as your wallet can afford.

Who do you play for?

Do they have any ex pros, BARLA internationals etc?

Plenty of Pro's in Cas mate, if thats what your looking for.

I don't play for anybody anymore, had a bad knee injury and packed in 10 years ago.

They are coached by ex-player Matt Crowther who played at the top level with several clubs before his career ending injury. As for the players i'm not 100% sure of their past achievments. I'm more of watcher than a fan and go watch a few other amateur clubs as well as Lock Lane.

The facilites are top notch by amateur standards, with parking, clubhouse
bar and food available. Admission is £2 which includes a programme.

Expect the pitch to be like a mud bath.

Will the game definetly be on?

We wont have played for 6 weeks come Saturday due to Christmas and the weather

I'd imagine so. The weather is not too bad at the minute but i've heard some snow is forcast this week so best to check up the day before if you setting off early.

Snow and sleet forcasted, probably more rain as well. Anybodys guess really, but don't think LL's pitch will stand anymore water.

Any idea if he's doing anything else? Last i heard he was wanting do something with regards physio work or something. Nice bloke is Matt and i was gutted for him when he had to pack in.

Not sure to be honest, mate. I think he's either assistant to Lee Hughes at LL or the other way round.

Not sure what else he does but as you say he's a smashing bloke.
