Indeed. You slowed the game down (and were allowed to slow the game down) at such an alarming rate that it's a wonder time itself didn't slow down or even stop. That 'pace' is not something we're accustomed to. |

Said to my husband last week that i thought Wakey would turn us over and then get well and truely beat on Monday as I thought they would put all their energies into friday into what was effectively their cup final - however i didn't think that they would take that status so literally

From a marketing perspective it's not too bad an idea. Even if a few 100 buy the mugs there's a fee thousand to be made. A win in a local derby is sweet as pie for either team.
But I dont get this cup final thing. Were not even half way through the season yet and plenty more points to pick up. I expect we'll still pick up a few wins from the remaining games.

Or the fact that it was a derby game and your team got beaten by a makeshift team full of young lads who were the heavy underdogs? Its only 11 games into the season and your doing well but dont get too carried away with yourselves, anyone would have thought this was the Wigan board with some of the comments |
