I have this nagging fear that our recruitment inactivity has had less to do with Millwards Leigh commitments than a dearth of available talent and the club's ability to secure it. How much of IMs time would be needed to supply our BOD with his targets for the relevant officials to pursue. And if it's about him having to evaluate the current squad, especially the OOC players, he was never going to be able to do that properly before pre-season training.
If we aren't already well advanced in negotiations with potential recruits we'll be fishing in a very small pool.

I'm struggling to remember a start to a pre season as quiet on the recruitment front. We all hope the board will pull some rabbits out of the hat as regards to signings but with the rumoured lack of funds i have my doubts.

I have got another season ticket for next season more out of loyalty than encouragement from our current board...where i think we desperately need some fresh ideas, just sitting on their hands praying for Opus to work their magic isn't going to pull in fair weather fans.

I'm also concerned about recruitment, or rather our lack of it, but do remember how this time last year Salford were going crazy signing up players all over the place. Their squad this year had loads of new players with plenty of paper promise.
