Thats sorta what I meant, we have slipped from top to 5th, and will probably end up around 6th. (which is what the club targeted, the press mainly put us 9th 10th).

Think the negative 4 plus the loss of your players put paid to any play off hopes. But had you of kept Obst, Ferg and not lost 4, then who knows what would've been? Still, hope you get a franchise....(still doesn't seem right me saying that after spending the last few years lambasting Wakefield!

To be fair we lost up until his departure one of the best props at the time in Tronc. Who knows how long he would have kept his form going but was easy a standout player plus losing Brough hit us 10 fold. I doubt Cas will have to go through this so they should make the playoffs and good luck to them as well.

In terms of discipline perhaps, something which helped Wakey tremendously on Friday (whichever way you look at it), but we also played much better in that game. On results, Salford seem to be spiralling out of control at the minute, so I'd be inclined to say they were actually the worst team in the league. I know they won at Wakey earlier in the season and it would be interesting to see how the two compete with eachother now. I suspect Wakey would win it at the moment.

More frustrated I think - we were very average in the first half and shockingly bad in the second - we've been much better than that all season. You wanted it more and obviously took advantage. I stand by my observations though in regards to the game being slowed down.

Whatever peoples opinion its one-all this season with one to play and bring it on! But this thread is what it should be about. Two sets of fans discussing an exciting derby game between there sides that was played in front of a big crowd with a bit of lighthearted banter thrown in. Its what got us all watching the game in the first place! Not all the bitching about who can build a bloody stadium first, whose got the most money etc, etc. Are the RFL watching? Stop killing the game and make rugby the most important thing!

Indeed. You slowed the game down (and were allowed to slow the game down) at such an alarming rate that it's a wonder time itself didn't slow down or even stop. That 'pace' is not something we're accustomed to.
