| Quote: TypingMonkey "And there was me enjoying the very reasonable, civil, open & honest exchanges between Cas & Wakey fans about the state of their squads, and all of a sudden we're on the brink of another slanging match.
Come on guys, turn it around before it descends into another fight. We've all had enough of those for one year.'"
No slanging match here - I asked binks a genuine question; I certainly haven't seen any WTW fans proclaiming Mr Glover as SL's latest uber-rich sugar-daddy, but given the financial position that the Richardson regime left us in, he is perceived as being in relative terms, a much safer bet. He's no Ken Davey, but he does have a couple of multi-million pound businesses to his name.
As for our squad - a couple more signings still to be squared away I think, then we should be just about set.
Personally, whilst I'm happy with signings like Southern, Ellis & Lautiti, I'm more excited about seeing some of the young lads from our academy get proper first team action; I've been really impressed with some of the kids who have come through with you and Saints - it'd be nice if WTW were talked about in the same way over the coming seasons.
That will be the big test for Mr Agar in a lot of fans eyes - he has no consistent pedigree of developing young players and that needs to change.

Isa, Fozzard, Aspinwall, were they not first teamers?
When fit they always played.
I know that Fozzard and Aspinwall havent gone anywhere yet, but they are currently out of contract.

| I would suggest that Fozzard will make his own mind up.
Aspinwall would not seem to have given anyone a reason to snap him up, or get rid to be honest, balance some reasonable performances with off the field issues, so can't see why he wouldn't get another year with an option on the proviso that he makes all his commitments and impressions on the field in 2012.
I know I will be castigated for this, but 1 or 2 signings, a powerfull outside back and perhaps a specilaist prop and I would be comfortable. We have been short at prop this season for sure and if you look at the meter makers I think Huby and Emmitt are still close to the top of our list and look how long they haven't played for! Plus we have been playing Widders and Ferris as makeshift centres. You can't legislate for losing 4 props all at the same time, put this down to being exceptional and hope we stay fit next season.

| Andy Lynch signed for Hull.
Would have liked him back at Cas to be honest, and would hope that we at least enquired about him!!

If money is tight replace foz with parker, get a big centre from the nrl, get either a big powerful 2nd row (luaki?) or an experienced intelligent one (morrison) for aspinwall and widders, allowing thmpson, davies and holmes to progress up the pecking order. When hudson and goldie are out of contract we can then use there money to overhaul the squad further next year.

Let them spend the money, because they achieve f**k all.
I mean if I supported a team that signs players like O'Meley, Fitzgibbon, Long, Westerman and Berrigan I would expect to be in the top 4 every season.

It was all Agars fault. They will be World Club Champions next season without him

Reported as a 'substantial six figure sum' on the Sporting Life site. No wonder Bradford were happy to snap your hand off, the new Hull owner clearly has more money than sense.
We have a cracking Australian utility back I'm sure Cas would be content to let go for a mere £50K....

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.
