If you read half my posts on here you'd see I can't stand McGoldrick and think he's the worst player in the Cas squad, all I was commenting on there was that incident alone.

| The difference between the teams, yet again was Mr Briers. Given a platform, time and space by a big pack he beat us. Frankly i'm sick of seeing him run off with an interception try against us
Having said that, in the first 40 Cas were slaughtered by the idiot in the middle with some bewildering decisions, he is a pedantic tool of the highest order who takes the pettiness of Karl Kirkpatrick and combines it with the inconsistency of Bob Connelly-absolutely shocking.
He gave some stinkers against Wire too, just not at the right time for Cas!!

| all this blaming the ref is a bit sad.
Yes, he was poor but the difference between the two was Briers plain and simple

Of course Briers did everything himself. Give over. The difference was Cas's failure to be clinical in the second half and too many mistakes which enabled you to be let off lightly. Oh, that, coupled with a more dominant pack.

| Cas looked nervous after the first 10-15 minutes and never really got back into things after that. We never looked in control of the game in the second half which is completely the opposite of what happened at Headingley.
We were playing panic rugby every time we had the ball in the second half and instead of putting pressure on Wire we were trying to score on every play of the ball. Some of the passes in the second half were shocking and players had to bend their backs just to catch them.
I don't think our kicking game was particularly impressive and without Dixon in the side our aerial presence is practically non-existent. Sarge has looked unfit for both our games this season and although he put in a few good hits in the second half I think he's another 2/3 games away from being up to scratch. Wainwright continues to impress me with his efforts in running the ball in but his pace was shown up for all to see a number of times during the game.
Thaler was poor in general, but we contributed to our own downfall and you can't afford to do that against a side as strong and as fast as Warrington.
I'm concerned about whether our home form has become something that is weighing heavy on the players minds because as I mentioned before I thought we looked very nervous when we had the ball.

Some of the penelies given to cas in the last 5 mins were ridiculous and he gave them to even things up.'"
I agree but it seemed the nothing penalties he gave us in the last five minutes were a good hour overdue, and interestingly enough all at the start of the tackle count.

Not like you to berate a ref.

| To be honest i think there is alot of positives to come from this game.
If you look at last years defence/effort and fitness i think we are much improved. We got beat by 12 and gave away 2 tries from interceptions and a dropped ball.
If Terry can just work on a few areas i really think we can have a really good season

It's just an opinion, hardly a beration.

| From what I saw on Saturday night. With warrington being most peoples bet for the grand final, Cas will have no worries of a top 8 place. Lets sort out the refereeing standards, how many other teams this weekend, were given a penallty from the opposition kiking off.

How many teams were offside at the kick-off?
Let's not get carried away: I was as frustrated with Mr Thaler's refereeing as anyone on Saturday night: but the fault there lies with the players who were offside, not the referee applying the rules.

I agree. We should focus on the numerous howling errors he made before we start on him [icorrectly[/i applying the rules (even if he did only apply them to one side).

| I wonder how busy it was at the referees meeting tonight, seen as you all are criticising refs!
Ok the above was tongue in cheek, but I thought Thaler was a cas fan?
You seemed to play well in patches again, keep at it for the full 80 on a consistent basis, you'll easily make the top 8. Your younger players if they continue to mature and improve the way they are, maybe even higher. Good luck.

He says he's a Catalan fan but he was in the Tigers bar at HT of an under 18's game last year and had a Wakey polo top on under his RFL jacket.
