We obviously do care about money but we also very much care about having the best possible chance to win each game. Playing Huddersfield away on the Thursday hence wanting the extra recovery time, by the sounds of it, the coach of 2014 has made the call and asked steve gill to change it. I actually meant I thought the Salford game would be down a fair chunk. If Wigan's away support is that Stella (I'd swap hull fc with Wigan for the numbers they bring to Cas) then there should still be a good crowd but granted not as high as a Sunday.

Wigan's complaint is that the change was made without them even being given the courtesy of being informed about the change. The first they knew was when Cas announced it. Basically they want the game played on Saturday and an appeal is still ongoing about that. Their argument they say is not with Cas, they understand their reasons for change, just with the RFL for making it a Friday Night.

I get the point about Wigan playing Fridays but they do declare all their fixtures as Friday Nights in the initial fixture list so everyone knows. Regardless of which teams are involved, Changing a fixture at just over 2 weeks notice when it's been known since October about playing the following Thursday is a disgrace in my view. Sometimes it can't be avoided but you expect that more late in the season, not this early.

Surely it wouldn't get moved again a week before the game?

The fixtures were known (including the Thursday game at Huddersfield) from November last year. Why has this change only just been requested?

Cos we are crapping ourselves about being 0 and 4 and playing Huddersfield 4 days later....

We've not won at Saints since 1992 or 1993 so it'll not get changed.

Regular Friday night games at Cas Tigers - a sign of things to come in a couple of seasons time IMO.

Not with SKY and Premier league football going to Fridays, rugby league will be Tues, Weds, Thurs, or midnight Sunday no doubt.

Glad we changed it. Wigan were like a rabbit in headlights first 15 minutes, they never really got over our blistering start.

Yes,IF the ground gets built the location will probably lead to Friday night games. Great performance last night...even the shirts looked more amber than orange under the lights!

Seriously though, even though Wigan were way off their own normal pace credit has to go to Cas who played really well. I thought that we would lose last night but I didn't see such an emphatic drubbing coming. It's a pity Wigan didn't play well because that could have been one hell of an exciting game with Cas playing so well. I thought all their players looked well tuned into their game plan and played with composure the whole game. Luke Gale had a cracking game.

Even though it was an embarrassing night at the office I still enjoyed the trip the Mend a hose. It's a great traditional RL ground with great passionate home support. I hope that you can recreate that atmosphere at the new stadium.
