| Quote: BD "This comment, and Wane's comments, are patronising. I don't think the fans do it intentionally, but gosh it's patronising. "He wouldn't be saying that if he thought we weren't in for one hell of a game"? Well I would think so, given that we're higher than you in the table at present.
I understand that we're 'underdogs' going into this game in the eyes of many, but it wouldn't hurt for Wane to get some class in this situation. I just don't find it 'flattering' as you guys keep telling us.'"
Not patronising in the slightest and it's my opinion because you're higher in the league as you say not because I'm thinking your some sort of fluke job that's about to be found out in a big game.
There have been times when we've played teams who traditionally haven't been in the top 4 in the play offs or the cup and you have a little bit of trepidation going in to it thinking there's a 'slight' chance you could get beat. Today isn't like that, I genuinely feel the game is 50/50. We've got more experience in these knock out games but I think the injuries we have combined with bringing a couple of lads back in who won't be match fit negates that and puts it back level.
Here's to a good game anyway.

| Quote: 007 "Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane told BBC Radio Manchester have come out with comments saying 'we're beatable' and 'it's a great game for them' and 'they're very confident'. Many of the comments I've heard have been bordering on disrespectful.
"They can be as confident as they want, but they're going to get a tough game this weekend and we'll be trying our best to make sure they don't get that win.
"We've played in some big games over these last few years and they've not played in as many, if any, so to be that confident is very risky for them.
"They come here with confidence because they've scored a lot of points and beaten us at home, but I wouldn't be overconfident if I was them."
Show us some proof Mr Wane...anything that proves what you have said is true,It's amazing that all your injured players have "recovered" just in time for this weekends match, but hey,we're just a small town club who should bow down at the feet of the mighty Wigan,or,are you just trying to rally your own players because THEY feel over confident of the result, either way you have made yourself look rather childish and stupid.....even more so than normal.'" ]
" We've played in some big games over these last few years and they've not played in as many, IF ANY
Who is being disrespectful. We beat them fare and square and if it was not for this stupid obstruction rule he could have gone home at half time. Mr Powell said he cannot remember any of the comments coming from the Castleford club he did say though that he will let his Castleford team do their talking on the pitch. That was without the wrecking ball on the wing cannot wait until next friday.

| I listened to the post match comments from wane on the BBC thinking 'I had him wrong hes actually being gracious in defeat and has given credit to Cas' then he slipped in the sly slimy comments and I thought no - you look and do act like a slug.

Yes I had to laugh to myself over that too,I kept thinking there has to be a dig coming, no way can he just sign off with (yes fair py cas were just the better team on the day), then there it was (I thought cas managed to slow the play the ball down to suit themselves better that us and the ref let them get away with it).
Well done Shaun you really are pure class

If you live in a country where you can get arrested for fishing without a licence, yet you can't get arrested for entering that country illegally, then you know that the country you live in is run by idiots!

Like Powell says, we do our talking on the pitch. Also thought Wane was being gracious until the end of the interview, an unnecessary comment by him to finish on. I mean Wigan would never try underhand tactics would they? He's just made himself look a fool.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| Wane's the same after every defeat. On the surface he appears gracious and willing to concede that the better team won, but he always slips a few jabs in about how the opposition effectively cheated and how the referees incompetence allowed them to. It's pathetic really.

| His parting 'jibe' was actually unintendandly funny. He said 'Castleford laid on in the tackle better than we did' He is actually admitting to cheating. In effect 'We cheated, but Castleford cheated even better'.

| He was delighted when Wigan layed on at Manchester a couple of weeks ago , but not now , he said so much in the run up to the game because he thought Wigan were certanties to win yesterday . The Castleford performance was superb especially the second half tackling when up against it . With a bit more luck you could also be top of super league with close calls against Saints and the Midgets plus the ridiculous game turnaround time against the Rhinos.
The only downside yesterday was the aftermatch photos , it was a quarter final , leave those things untill you win at Wembley which i may say you now have every chance to do so
