| Puts Nash down to like 8th in the pecking order so that automatically makes him a good signing.

Not sure he ever did. He was on loan with us from Saints, but I don't recall him playing. Fell out with Terry, apparently because he thought his name should automatically be on every team sheet, coming from a big club.
Will wait and see if he's matured / improved since then ...

| I know Keith Mason fell out with Matterson at Cas before joining the Giants, so he didn't do great in his last stint there. At Huddersfield however he was a very good prop, nowt flashy but took the ball up aggressively and certainly put in a good defensive stint.
He does have his flaws, he can be wound up and when he looses the plot he really loses it. He has a reputation as a penalty machine, that comes with his aggression and most of his penalties are when fatigued. He also gives away some acceptable penalties that opposition fans will think cynical but are part of the dark side of the game that some props thrive in. Keith is the sort you want alongside you in a battle.
Going back to his fall out with Matterson, he has also fallen out with Anderson, but John Sharp, Nathan Brown and Ian Millward all got good stuff out of him. I think his picking Cas over Wakey & Bulls (which he did) would in part be because of Millward.

| Adds depth to the squad, plus he's English.
Certainly adding some size/aggression into the squad.
With Webster, Rangi, Huby, Millington, Hauraki and Mason in particular, looks like we'll have some fight next season.

| To be fair to him - he only played twice for us in his last stint because of the issues between him and Matterson
1 year deal is a good option imo, puts him in to automatic "play for a new contract" mode and hopefully Millward can get some good out of him.
At the end of the day we need bodies with SL experience and he certainly fits the bill and is a definite improvement on Nash

Thanks Wadski. I understand the Cas fans remembering KM efforts the last time he turned out for us but I think the 30 year old KM will be a far better player then the 23 year old KM we saw previously. Certainly adds size, quality and presence to our forwards which 99% of Cas fans were crying out for.

| All we need know is 4 or 5 internationals win the cup, and the grand final, then are fans might be happy, nearly every signing we have made this year have had there knockers, Ellis, his a nobody, Shenny, his crap or ST'S would have kept him, Tansey, what the hell have we signed him for his a p**s head, and know some want him as there fullback, Webster, another asbeen he will be out more than in, Carney, he must be crap nobody ells wanted him, Hauraki, his not that good he did nowt at Leeds, and then Mr Mason, what we signed him for hes a penalty machine, Well thats the opinion of some Cas fans, in my eyes every player we have signed is an improvement on last years players who we let go, in some fans eyes the club cant do anything wright for doing wrong, we now have a team with structure and balance we don't have enough body's but the money is not there to buy any more, we have signed the players we can afford and the rest of the team is made up of young Cas lads, so what do the fans want , we don't have the big bucks to buy every Tom Dick & Harry, so , do we do a Viv nick and spend spend spend buy a bit of success for a season or two and then go bust, or do we spend what we can afford and keep our club out of the hands of the administrators, for me some fans still think were flush and pulling the wool over there eyes, but every one is entitled to an opinion, and mine is that the club is doing every thing it can to keep the fans happy with out going to the wall, but im glad we are not spending money we don't have and a hope the Tigers are about for a long, long, time

Seriously though, can't knock the signing. We need more depth in the forwards n Mason gives us that. Certainly an improvement on Nash! I'll disregard his 1st stint wiv us - that was 7 yrs ago n his face didn't fit wiv Matterson.

| Good signing for me, not least because I don't expect us to hit 5000 members and therefore didn't foresee anyone arriving unless someone else left............oh,oh.....not Chubs....please, not him.
