We did that last year,to be honest there is some good lads in the championship but most of what we got over the last few years get stage fright and don't perform when you look at the cas lads we have let go we could have had a squad 70% full of cas lads and one hell of a team

yeah you've got a point. there are some really good part-timers out there that could benefit from the full time regime. Sheffield seemed to have a really big pack, they've let a couple of forwards go cause they've too many. some SL tams MUST be having a sniff???

Regarding Owen,He certainly looked like being a tremendous player prior to his injury,i do know that he was being closely monitored by all the big SL clubs too around this time,I'd bet that he's not being watched by the majority of those clubs now though

If Hull KR wish to take Owen as a replacement for the FC bound Shannon McDonnell then i would snap their hands off without a doubt and i could also name two possible replacements now to the club and both would be far better and wouldn't cost the earth either

I'm not a fan of the Whino's but they certainly know how to produce junior talent and promote it throughout their system and into their first team squad too

They currently have two outstanding young full backs on their books that aren't likely to get a look in due to Hardaker and they are called Jimmy Watson and Josh Sunley,they are both pretty raw but both could make it in SL without a doubt IMO

I would take both players now and that would still leave plenty of change for other signings

Owen certainly seems to have a lot of potential, i really thought that getting the fullbacks shirt would bring the best out of him but he lost his way at times last season, however much of the team did and with the team in general performing poorly that puts him under alot of pressure, i think we should stick with owen at fb, we know he can do better than he did at times last season and hopefully once he has settled into the role and the team in general start to perform better we will see the best of him. I personally think he is no worse than mathers or goldy there with much more scope to improve.

Next year we have some and wingers to help him out at the back, instead of four second rowers, you get fed up of all the young cas lads not being good enough for us, but doing it for the teams above us.
