I'd think Cas would want top 8 at the minimum on his 2nd year in. Which I don't think is unreasonable.

For me his targets should be competetive performances, improved defence (which was one thing he promised for last season!!), creativity in attack (which was lacking last season as we had the same move every play) and 8th/9th spot in the table

As above but, looking at squad depth thus far, more achievable targets would be 10th with Rangi, 12th without him.

Back on topic - Rangi won't be at Cas Tigers next year. He will leave our shores in the few weeks for the NRL.

I agree with that but think we are capable of 8th/9th with the level of players we have. it just depends on how they perform and whether or not we have the same lack-lustre moves. But 10th will probably be more of a reality with injuries (and more than likely bans/suspensions )

No I haven't. RC has been telling people he's going himself. The deal is done.

If Rangi was to leave we would need a good player to replace him spreading his salary across 3 players would get us more of what we have had previous ie 3 below average SL players. We should use as much of his salary as in possible to get the best player available, although it would be much more likely we would end up with Seymour from Hull.
