Notice how when Cas sign a good player all Wakefield fans are quick to pounce to say he's sh*t when he is 1 million times better than the sh*te likes of Mariano and Southern

He is better than some of the dross that has left thats for sure.

Sometimes a player doesn't fit a particular club (think Tim Smith at Wigan for example), it didn't work out for him at Leeds and when he did play his confidence was down...he played alot better with regular game time at Crusaders.

I hope he goes better for you than what he has shown thus far, I just don't rate him on what I've seen or heard from others who have seen more.
Hopefully next year your signings will make you a stronger side than this years.

The last player of yours I commented on was Westerman - and boy was I proved right with that one. But never fear I'm not perfect because Fergusons never really lived up to his promise even if he wasn't quite as over hyped.

If you read my post again I clearly state he may come good at a new club with a new coach - rather obviously I assumed you would realise that was you!

There are a number of Cas players I'd welcome at BV, but as I say it's just my opinion but Hauraki is not one.

Mariano is a FAR better player than Hauraki...

I don't think hauraki is a terrible signing for you guys.

Think he has decent go forward but seems to knock on a fair bit and have the odd defensive lapse.

I wouldn't want him at wakey as with Ali, Kirmond, Moriano along with our young promising forwards trout and Walshaw we are well stocked in that position and he isn't needed.

I think he may be an improvement on what you have this season but to say he is good is stretching out a bit.

That said, he should be given his chance in a new environment before been rubbished.

I actually hope to see cas improve on this year in 2013.

Not wanting a willy measuring contest but come on. I think Mariano has a bit to go but he's proved very capable this year and is still fairly young - he's developing well IMO. Southern has had a poor season as has Hauraki, however unlike Hauraki Southern had 130 NRL games to his name, so he's far from sh*te I'd say.

I can only go on what I've seen of Hauraki and I'm not impressed, however he may do well for you and had he signed for us he'd have got my support.

I'd have Mariano every day of the week, plus he's English as well, which is an added bonus.

Had Wakey not re-signed him, I would have hoped we'd have looked at him - he'd have fit in well.

Hauraki will be a good signing for Cas. We need some more mobile, physical backrowers and it places competition on Thompson, Millington, Holmes and Gilmour to up their game. A good mix of English/Overseas/Youth/Experience in that back line.

In the context of players we can reasonably be expected to afford/attract I would say Hauraki is a decent signing and if he regains his Crusaders form he will be a damned good one.
