We played okay-ish up to the point of their first (foot short) try... then the heads went down. What disappointed me most was the way they utterly failed to come out in the second half. I was at least expecting a bit of a fightback with them playing towards the WRE but there was nothing, absolutely nothing, until the game was gone and Wakey switched off.

Even so, lowest point? Nah. Have we forgotten the loss at Fev? The drubbing at Caravan Park? We didn't ship 70 yesterday and we didn't lose to a Championship side. We simply didn't bother performing at the end of a non-event season and lost a game as a result. It's nothing new this year is it?

I think Nick Youngquest is going to be a male model.

I don't get the fitness arguement at all.

When you came to us and hammered us to be honest, there was an out cry about fitness. Now its the other way round.
I'm no sports scientist but I'm pretty sure personal fitness cannot turn round that much.

It is how you control the game that makes the other team work harder. Simple as that. If you can play efficiently and force the other team to work harder, they will look less fit than you but if you put them all through a fitness test there is no way one side would come out higher than the other. Players would be good and bad on both sides.

TBF I said they looked unfit and flabby, whether they actually are I don't know. Looks can be deceiving I know and some fatty's go well, it was just a general impression.

Also I agree they looked fit enough at our place, but yesterday they just didn't.

That said we'd still have beaten them fit or not.

Cas looked crackered after 20 minutes because all they'd done was defend; that takes it out of players both mentally and physically. Not necessarily a fitness issue, just a function of what happened on the day.

I was sorry to see Huby go off with a knock - he always strikes me as an honest, hard-working player and a decent bloke. Is there any news?

Maybe, but one or two looked plain flabby to me - Huby for one but as a Prop it's probably OK. The winger on the other hand, that's just wrong.

Williams is decent player. He's like Dean Widders - deceptively fast even though his appearance may not indicate it.

Him and Ellis - the two players who looked the most out of condition - were your main attacking threats.

Maybe there's something in the Huby Plan diet?!

Huby is by far our best prop always gives 100% tackles like an absolute machine and takes at least 3 defenders with him when carrying the ball.

And he certainly ain't over-weight

There's obviously a moral issue. Keep the faith Millward will sort it given time, there's few coaches who know more about the game or work harder than him.

Millward has not impressed me in the slightest. He might know a lot and work hard but he is getting nothing out of the players. He was banging on about tightening our defence up at the start of the season and it is worse than I can ever remember it. The attacking plays are not much better.

The end of this season can't come soon enough!
