Featherstone Rovers - Co-Operative Championship League Leaders and Champions 2011:

Quote: 007 "Aren't cup ties shared gates?'"

The gate is shared, but then there's beer, pies, tea, programs, golden gamble etc, all of which are ours

Bumper pay day for us, which is all I care about, the result is a forgone conclusion and in terms of our season, it's totally irrelevant.

That said, I'll still be shouting myself ho on the day.

I take it we will be allowed in your clubhouse for a drink then seeing as though the Last Orders is for "Fev fans" only and the Lagoon is at the opposite end to the Railway end?

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround." An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_42181.jpg

Bumper? Bit of an exaggeration.

beer, pies, tea, programs, golden gamble - Not many Cas Fans will be buying these i'm afraid. If like myself they be-grudge spending/buying anything Fev related.

I've even stopped going to that lovely Indian Restaurant on PO Road. Petrol, Cigs, lottery money, its all stopped. I used to have my car MOT in Fev - not any more.

It all stopped after a altrication I had with a Fev lad. I realised how much most of them dispise Cas Tigers and everything we stand for. I love the rivalry and banter at RL matches as much as anyone - but there is something not quite right when Cas play Fev.
I won't be spending anything in Fev.

beer vending facilities are located all round the ground and will be easily accessible by castleford supporters , not sure on clubhouse issue , i believe that fans are to be kept apart as much as possible

The weak conform, the strong survive.:

Myself (a Fev fan) and my cas fan mates will be starting off early in the Glassblower, and heading to Fev shortly after.

Don't know if its first port of call or not in Fev, but we will be in the Green Lane club at some point. I may even allow them to buy me a pint or two if they are good! icon_cheers.gif icon_cheers.gif

Despite a lot of Cas hating, Fev fans still live and work with Cas fans and the banter is on the whole confined to the rugby side, it's not personal. I'm sure there are a large number of Fev fans who could take a similar stance against Castleford. There will always be individuals who take it too far but that is found in every walk of life. Come down and have a drink with the sensible lot and enjoy the game. it's a banker for you lot.

I'd be suprised if you weren't allowed in there and nothing has come out of the club to say you're not. Come up and enjoy a few beers, after all Fev and Cas fans work and live with each other day to day and if we can't have a pint and a bit of banter before and after the game then it is a sad reflection on our society.

I also work with alot of Fev fans - all of them brilliant supporters. Unfortunately it is a sad reflection on our society when a small minority are hell bent on spoiling it for the majority and (like many Cas fans) a risk I am not prepared to take thanks.

We never had segregation at Fev/Cas matches before - why now ? What has changed ?

Society I'm afraid.

The lunatics are trying to take over the asylum and its up to the majority, the decent fans to stand up and let them know 'Not In My Name'.

Just remind me which two sets of fans were fighting last weekend? You make it sound like any trouble will solely come from Fev fans. Given your own clubs recent history that is a bit rich.Or are you suggesting that Cas fans don't want to come because of the trouble of BOTH sets of fans as you haven't really made that clear

As for segregation it isn't really that. Fev fans usually change ends at half time, as far as I know Cas fans don't so it is to avoid any possible overcrowding, or confrontation the decision was made to allocate one side to Cas. I'm sure many Fev and Cas fans will be mingling before and after the game and it is as Sidnee says up to fans to stand up to the minority and not let them spoil it for the rest

Well, I'm taking a friend who has never seen a game of League in her life.

I'll be going to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the game.

So in 2006, when PO Road was packed for Fev Vs Cas we didn't have to segregate the fans - we have been for this Saturday. My question remains unanswered - What has changed since then ? I'll give you a clue - The Halifax incedent maybe ?

Or the cas incidents maybe?

Please don't try to take the morale high ground here, both clubs have had issues in the past and both clubs decided on the segregation at the security meeting. If it means the match goes ahead with no trouble then surely thats all that matters?
