I like Johnny Walker, but like most of our forwards I'd like to see a bit more of a 'mean streak' in him. For me there is always room in a team for a forward who carries a bit of an intimidation factor, as long as they apply it at the right time and tread the fine disciplinary line. I'm hoping that Johnny could be our man for this role within the team!

As a guy of his size, I'd like to see him going into tackles with the same ferocity and commitment as Danny Orr. Now that would make him a star in our ranks!!

I agree with you, our pack has lacked any aggression since Vowles, Sampson & Fritz stopped playing. This is why we come up short against most superleague teams. I think Walker has it what it takes though and Huby is a cracking player, they are just missing that "mean streak" as you put it.

I don't actually think the mean streak of Sampson or Ward exists in the game anymore.

I think they would find themselves whistled out of the game these days - Even physical and abraisive players recently like Adam Watene (God rest him and bless his family) found themselves penalised heavily.

It is a cycle and physicality will come around again in differing ways, but the trend at the moment is for speed of play and the ball is in play a lot more. Just my opinion you inderstand!

As two of the smallest guys on the field, we see Rangi and Danny Orr go in with some massive hits. Well I'd like to see the same type of hits with another 3 or 4 stone of player behind them. That's one of the factors we love about Chubbs!

Beware he's a Lawyer with license to practice in 5 country's or so he told me.

That's a bit fishy if working for someone allows you to do the same job as them without the relevant licenses etc
