It gets better, if you look at his post history its very clear hes not a wigan fan but has ended every post on this thread trying to make out he is one which is one the sadist little tricks ive seen on here, try to get wigan and cas fans arguing for presumably, his amusement.
So 12 may be generous, seems more like a nine year old to me.

Let's forget about Wigan for a second...
How many clubs have their own anthem that hasn't been stolen from somewhere? In fact, how many clubs have their own anthem?
Hull - Old Faithful
Hull KR - Red Red Robin (used by many football teams, such as Bristol City)
Leeds - Marching On Together (stolen from Leeds United)
Salford - Oh When The Reds (just "Oh When The Saints" sung slowly and used by EVERY club at some point).
St Helens - Oh When The Saints (again, used by everybody, but I notice they've stolen the start of Old Faithful and now sing it slowly like Salford).
Bradford - Woolly Bully (stolen from Chicago Bulls)
Huddersfield - Falling In Love With You (sung by various football teams, including Hull City).
Do the other clubs even have an anthem?! What actually is Wigan's?!
At the end of the day, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

| It seems not many people know Old Faithful was actually number 1 in the charts when it was first sung by a Hull fan too

Not that I give a stuff about chants but... Of all teams, it's a Wigan fan who complains because some other fans just took something from another club and used it themselves.
Perhaps this irony needs a little seasoning...? Oh no, it's delicious as it stands. Mmmmm....

There weren't any charts in 1936, it was a song from a film which sold a few copies of sheet music for a sing song round the piano! ‘Old Faithful’ though is different to most other football and rugby songs because its an otherwise little known popular cowboy song, sung in the mid thirties by Gene Autrey to his horse.
There is no mention of Hull, our ground or even our nickname in it and so as an adopted song that has lasted for 80 odd years it is very special. In fact, It is said that it was first sung by a single voice in the threepenny Stand at the Boulevard and then taken up by the crowd, in a game against Wigan in1936 and was directed to our most faithful of servants and absolute icon of the game Joe Oliver. Only Hull and Hunslet had songs back then and Hunslets about a group of sea farers (I think it was) has long since dissapeared. Whether this is true we will probably never know, but somehow at the next game it was sung again and the rest is history. If you use it I see it as flattery really because that what imitating someone or something is. Whether we win or lose You'll hear it sung properly on Sunday!

| I remember something about it on Look North, wasn't it something to do with Oliver hardly missed a goal kick which is what prompted the lone bloke to sing it?

The story goes that it w as first sung at a Championship semi final game at the Boulevard on 2nd May 1936 against Wigan which we won 13-2. Cheered on by 26,000 odd fans Joe scored a try and kicked two goals in that performance and it is said as he walked back from scoring the try the song was struck up. He scored two tries and 5 goals in the final too when we beat Widnes. He was renowned as you say for being a real dead eye when converting tries and missed few conversions. He also scored tries from all over the pitch and had the nick name of 'Give it to' Joe for a long while.Oliver was a prolific points scorer for HUll Fc and his career spanned 1928-1945 although he missed a few years in the war and had a couple of seasons at Craven Park (but we'll gloss over that).. He scored 156 tries and 687 goals in an amazing 426 appearances for the Club in 12 seasons. He played an additional 100 games for Huddersfiled and 40 odd for Batley before we signed him too! Thats over 560 games!!! I'm a blo*dy anarach when I get going!

UP THE WARRIORS.'"
Its a song f.f.s.
As far as I know F.C. havn`t got copyright on the tune.
A bit like
"Who are ya?"
"What the ******* **** is that?"
and "We can see you sneaking out."

| "We're Leeds Rhino's" (or "we hate Rhino's", as sang by most other clubs ), is a variation on "Liv-er-pool".

| Not going to get upset by any Cas fans using our tune, it's not like you are dissing Hull with it.
As for Wigan, to my knowledge they only have one song and it has only one word in it, 'Wigan'. This is only sung when they are leading by 30+ points.
The Hull fans are looking forward to their trip to Cas on Sunday, it's their favourite away ground, good fans, good atmosphere and close to the pitch.
