| it is about time cas let McGoldrick go.
he can not tackle always out of position, shots out of the line.
he as played Fullback, Centre, Stand off & Loose Forward and only the position he is good at is sat in the bar with a beer in his hand.
McGoldrick must GO!!!
My Cas back line for London would be:-
FB: Owen
W: Youngquest
C: Dixon
C: Thompson or Grehan
W: Griffin

I think playing Dixon in the centres is just a way to try and accommodate everyone but Youngquest should play in the 20s until he's back fully match fit, at this point Griffin is on form and Dixon is far better on the wing than in the centres - where he also has a tendency to come in field for some odd reason.

Once he gets a proper centre his defence will improve.'"
Although i agree with others saying Goldy must go, i'm not 100% on this all being his fault that griffin keeps coming inside.
I also agree though - he's a rookie and has a big future ahead of him.
I'm also seeing huge improvements from Owen from last season and can only see him getting even better over the season and next.....
BUT, with both players - we need to start feeding them and bulk them up that bit more.

Watch the game and you'll see that the only reason Griffin comes inside is because of McGoldrick.
The winger HAS to come in when the centre does, McGoldrick flies out of the line leaving a 3 on 1 overlap for Griffin to deal with and it lead to a try at Salford, 3 at Catalan and another 3 last night.

| Winger's prime aim is to score tries, If Griffin gets 20 plus tries thats good enough for me. He will tighten up on his defence. Would you prefer Michael wainwright wholehearted never beat a man but tackled well. No Griffin every time.
Look at martin Offiah the best modern day winger by a country mile twice as good as Ryan Hall, he never tackled a man, but score nearly 500 tries. Scoring is the main function of a wingman else you would but someone like Stauart Jones there.

If you have a good centre inside him the winger should be alright in defence really.

Arundel and Dixon will have to swap back to the right centre/ wing where they
played last year.
play Griffin in centre on the left side with youngquest

| Griffin had good games at Wakefield as a winger. As a centre i thought he was not as good. Against leeds at home he played centre and in defence it lead to Watkins scoring 3 or 4 on the wing due to him tackling the wrong man inside. He always seemed better on the wing for me. I think he is a SL standard winger (and has played fullback in the academy i think).

| When he was with us (Batley) in 2010 and made his pro debut, he was absolutely dreadful for the first 7 or 8 games he played. I mean REALLY dreadful - couldn't catch a pass, make a break or tackle for toffee. Then, all of a sudden, he picked up and looked a potent weapon. IMO, he's a kid who played for a bit too long in the Academy, up against kids he could bully around at will due to his size and speed. This was to the detriment of his game, as up against players he could easily handle - as opposed to being thrust into first-team action up against real men - little attention was paid to faults in his game. He's got definite ability and some great attributes, but needs some serious coaching.
