too many good ones to limit to ten , but on a festive note , the best Christmas song bar none imo , is Fairytale of New York by Pogues and Kirsty McColl . Also Ned Miller sang from a jack to a king if that helps

4652.gif I wouldn't bother reading this bit, there is nothing interesting, witty or insightful down here, just this collection of boring words explaining that you really are wasting your time browsing this signature in the vain and futile hope that there will be a nugget, nay, a veritable goldmine of witticisms or divine philosophy. In reality, all you're going to get is disappointment, a sense of hopelessness and a random word.

| This is dreadful – someone has to redress the balance in favour of pimp music, couldnt stick to 10 and could have made 10 lists depending on moods but for overall will go with:
1: Big Pimpin’ – JZ
2: Watch the ice break – Ice T
3: 99 Problems – Ice T (NOT the JZ Version)
4: Hit ‘em up – 2Pac
5: Straight outta Compton – NWA
6: Don’t believe the hype – Public Enemy
7: All about the benjamins – P Diddy
8: It’s Tricky – Run DMC
9: Sobotage – Beastie Boys (Even if only for the video)
10: Doggstyle – Snoop Dogg
11: Paid in Full – Eric B and Rakim
Don’t mind some of the other stuff listed already, but really wanted to strike a blow for those of us not into thirty something guitar music.
Must admit am a HUGE lover of Sheriff Fatman and the Only Living boy in New Cross by Carter USM, I think it is my age! Lots of great Prodigy stuff close to the top 20 - Diesel Power, love that.
Could also make a top 10 of Ben e King, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and all that stuff - agree.
And, for the bloke who mentioned Andrea Boccelli, saw him last christmas and he is amazing when you're in the same room - even if thats not your kind of music, still cant help but enjoy his talent.

I like 80% of your list, since it's mostly from the era when rap and hip hop was actually good.
Great to see the Beastie Boys in there - I could make a top ten just from their back catalogue, but Sabotage would be no 2; Ill Communication is my personal fave.
