Must disagree there ttiger - if anything it was the superior longrange kicking game of Brough that kept Huddersfield in it in the 1st half.
What was obvious in the 1st 40 of the game against the Giants was that in most sets of 6 Cas made 50 or 60 yds with the ball in hand to get in a position to put in an attacking kick whereas we mostly restricted the Giants to having to kick the ball from inside their own half in that 1st period.
This contrasted with the inability of Quins to do the same against Giants last Friday night.
Cas should also be commended for stopping the momentum of the Giants early in the 2nd half after they'd scored a try and looked set to get on top. In previous years we'd have undoubtedly rolled over and ended up losing but the new Tigers have the determination to stick in there.
Agree with most posters that we've not played the best sides yet and must keep our feet on the ground - no doubt Matterson's telling the players exactly that - but we've done somert we've not managed to do in the past ie. show some consistency and won games we've got a sniff of winning.
