Personally I'd be most happy to see Goldy on his bike now...let's face it he's not going to get any better and I'm not sure how much he really brings to the team these days in comparison with some of the other players in the league. I dread to think how much he must be on given the years he has in. Just my opinion mind, but there it is.
As for Youngquest, sounds like the jury is still out but have a feeling that in the end he could be a good signing for us.

| I reckon McGoldrick will start the season at centre next year. That YEP article is the second time I've heard Matterson mention him playing there recently. I think he will go with Chase and Orr at half backs.

| How you can have Widders on the bench is beyond me, so underated and probably one of our best players. Personally if we sign Fozzard then i think it will be something like this:
Mathers
Owen
McGoldrick
Arundel
Youngquest
Chase
Orr
Fozzard
Hudson
Huby
Ferres
Widders
Westerman
---------------
Dixon
Jackson
Walker
Milner

Obviously Goldy's favourite position is centre and i think you will see him do a lot more there. For me he is much better than Evans who i doubt will play much next year anyway.

I think we can go without a specialist back on the bench with the flexibility of Widders, Ferris and McGoldrick personally.
Add to this in reserve, we will have Higgo, Wainy and Walker amongst others to come in who never let anyone down.
I am not sure about Fozzard, I think I would rather play Walker or Higgo week in week out than Fozzard, personally I think Huby can carry our pack with Snitch, Hudson and Jacko.
Of course, there may be another signing coming!

Agreed. I would still give Fozzard a start, based solely on his immense season at Saints a couple of years ago (hopefully he can recapture some of that and avoid injuries). However, I think we should be giving Walker some more game time next year. Looks pretty agressive and makes some good metres into collision. Obviously still got work to do, I thought he fell off a couple of tackles too easily against Saints. Then again, more game time will help him develop, especially in those sort of areas.

Tough one. No room for Jones, Dixon, Wainwright, Thompson, Higgins at moment, but with them in reserve we look to have more depth.

Why are you wanting to recruit some, so your team finally has some english players in it?

I'm pretty sure that ain't the last quota spot though.
In 2011 the allowance on 'non-federation trained' players reduces to 5 (it was 6 in 2010) of which all 5 can be on the overseas quota. Cas currently have 4 - McGoldrick, Chase, Widders & Youngquest (James Evans has an exemption and doesn't count as non-fed-trained).
Reckon we'll still get an Aussie halfback...

We still have a quota spot. Goldy, Youngquest, Widders and Chase all count. Evans doesn't. One place left.
