He has shifted some "timber",but it hasn't effected his strength,as big charlie will testify
Sarge is looking more streamline too,and put in a good stint yesterday

Dont expect alot for next season, or you will be dissapointed

| Huby is our top forward this season.
He is just at the right age 26 for a forward to mature.
I cant believe how good he has got this season, looks leaner and faster....has a good off load. Most of all he's showing a lot of passion on the field. Our next captian maybe.

| Craig Huby is 24, not 26.
Still got another 7/8 years in him yet. Only 2(?) years off his testimonial season, this being his eighth.

| Huby is a quality prop and must be pushing for, as Stevo says, 'a plane ticket down under for the 4 nations.'

| As good a season as huby has had and as much as I like him he should not play international rugby this year. In the future though? Who know's. He has time on his side and the best development is still ahead of him. Another season almost done and more progression made. Keep your head down and keep up the hard graft chubs.

I think Sarge had his best game of the season so far. He hasn't looked the same player this season but yesterday he ran well with the ball and tackled well too

I've got a horrible feeling we will end up with either feka or fielden.

| danny orr meant to be signing good signing, jonny campell looks a great prospect and needs to be playing super league would be on cheap wages so again a decent signing. richie mathers is a good signing but does come up with some right clangers, andrew ryan? could be an option would be great for a year or 2.

It dosen't guarantee anything and is a big money risk.

| Quote: Fully "Yes, but how many of those are going to be shipped out again. Not all youngsters will make it but the point is, Wigan have let so many good players from their own academy go in the past for Aussies and they seem to be doing it again.
I'm not having a go at Wigan - they're well within the rights to fully use the rules/loopholes just as other clubs. But it just smacks of doing it for the sake of it, especially for a club that has just seen the likes of Mossop, Tuson and Sam Tomkins come through the ranks.'"
Not a huge amount. The positions that the new players have come in all play in positions where we haven't got a youngster ready to step up to, with the exception of Hoffman (whom i get the feeling was just a "he's too good to miss out on" type signing)
The young players on the fringes at the moment are:
Davies > Out on loan next year, replacing Fielden or Coley in 2012.
Farrell/Tuson > Replacing Hoffman in a years time
Josh Charnley will take Carmonts spot in a years time ideally.
Stefan Marsh will take Gleeson spot in 2 years time.
At the end of this season we are releasing 4 overseas players, and only have 3 incoming. That surely frees up a space for another yooungster in the squad. So many wigan-produced players make up our team now I have no worries about us making the same mistake again.

Apparently Feka and Fielden account for a quarter of the cap between them, and they are both off contract.
Add to that Bailey, Phelps, Deacon etc etc. it more than covers their 3 salaries.
