| It's true that TM didn't suddenly shout at 28-12: "It's okay lads, you can stop playing now!"
Having said that, they're clearly not putting in 80 minutes either for us, for the badge or for Matterson. Hell, they don't even seem to be interested in keeping their jobs any more. Us and the shirt aren't going anywhere. Lamentably, that leaves only two things we can change - the squad or the coach. The former seems too impractical, so maybe it's time for this lazy a**ed squad to get a right good kick up the bracket from a new boss.

| Rumours of a board meeting at the ground on Monday on the Casforum.
Could it be an ar$e kicking for T.M or is it clear your desk time?

| That Richard Wright needs to take more of the flack then TM. I like how he sneaks out of the back like a snake in the grass and leaves TM to take the flack. Piece of .

I know he's got a few years to go on his contract but when he walked down the restraunt stairs after game, he just stood there shaking his head at the group of fans. He then walked through them as quick as he could and when I shook his hand and said well played he didn't seem interested in the slightest. He really wasn't happy. But why should he be. Our young lads (Thompson arundel and holmes) were by far some of our best players 2day. The only reason they were given a chance by matterson was because of the injury list. Thompson should remain at full back. Looks confident under a high ball, tackles and is a hard strong runner.'"

Look at the board as a whole, RW is surrounded with people who are not very forthcomming with their cash, The main creditor is not a very well man, if something happens to him, what the feck are we going to do. This is remeniscent of the season we went down, We need a clear out from the management to the coaches to the backroom conditioning to the players. We are not good enough, fit enough or big enough to compete. No disrespect to Barrow but a super league side should never loose to a NL1 side. They out played and out enthused us in all aspects. Well done Barrow
But lets look at what we have lost out on, basically a quarter final (hunslet at home should habve been a walk in the park)with the revenue, the possability of missing SL clubs and possibly a Semi. The way the draws werre going it was the best chance we had in years and i hope Barrow get there. The revenue we have lost through this pathetic performance is unforgiveable,
Clear out time, we have a season and a half left in SL make the most of it, because its going to be a long time out in the cold,

| Having had time to reflect on the latest debacle in the history of abject performances, I believe that yesterdays shocking performance was probably the worst since the sneaked victory against Piklington Rec's in the 70's. For those of you who don't know of this game or can remember it - we managed to beat an amateur team by one point.
I have watched Cas since the glory days of the late sixties - being at Wembley for both the 69 and 70 finals - I have come to the conclusion that this is the worst Cas team I have ever seen - and that is truly saying something considering the drab performances we had to endure during the mid to late 70's.
There is no leadership either on or off the field - the team on the pitch are desparate for someone to dictate play - Rangi Chase is trying so hard to do both the scrum half role and the stand off role that he is getting caught between the two and being quite ineffective. Having said that if more of the players yesterday had put in the same effort we may have sneaked an undeserved win.
As in any professional sport when the team aren't performing or producing the goods it is always the coach or manager who is ultimately responsible and is is they who have to pay the ultimate price. Unfortunately for TM this time has now arrived and he has to go, as I feel that the players need a new direction - something to shake them out of their current lethargy.
TM may or may not be the biggest problem at the club but it is a certainty that we will not replace at least half of the playing staff (this is certainly required as a minimum but will never happen at any club) nor will the current board decide that they are the problem and step aside. Therefore the only solution, if you can call it that, is for TM to go. I assume by his response yesterday that he is not going to do the honourable thing and resign and therefore the board, CEO or chairman or any combination of the three must bite the bullet and get rid whilst there is still time to salvage some pride this season.
We desperately need new ideas, fresh impetus and instilling some discipline and ensuring that the players actually put the effort in for the full 80 mins each game rather than the surrenders that we are enduring now.

| Some of the themes here aren't all that different to the relentless McNamara threads on our board. Some lay the blame entirely at his door, some blame him and the players, some blame the board. And then, when we go on a string of victories, some go utterly quiet.

| The thing that has annoyed me most is that whenever an opposition team kicks the ball to our full back to collect, the full back runs in and takes the 1st tackle. Then second tackle normally the wing man is the only man behind the ball, so takes the next tackle. And on many occasions its the 3rd tackle and the forwards still arnt in position to take the ball up. In my eyes this is the waste of having a props.
Yesterday we started with 3 props, which meant Huby played 30mins before getting subbed, for me this is just bad use of subs.
Also whenever we have a play of the ball in there oppo's "20", the team is almost in a defencive line, all stood next to each other.
Also the amount of dummy runners when the players taking the ball in, they are almost none existant and this makes it easy for the defence to know who there are tackling.
Some of these seem down to basics and the fitness of the players to be able to make dummy runs and get back onside again.
