Snithch is more of an attacking player if you can get him through gaps in the middle of the field he will set up scoring opportunities. problem is Snitch has a tendency to make mistakes usually drops the ball a couple of times again. jones rarely makes a mistake .
Both were good players for us but i felt that Jones was a more steady and reliable player.'"
think you're basing that on his performances for you. he was excellent last year and as far as i remember hardly missed a game. worked and worked made breaks and had good ball retention. easily one of our best players last year

that's the bench mark, our second pack has 16 sl gf winners rings, a Harry Sunderland winner, a nrl gf/world cup winner.
it's hard not to look like bragging but that's what you are up against! your first pack looks solid and I think Jackson will go well. SL is strong this season. a few injuries and I think you might struggle to be honest.

we did actually clever cloggs. we tried to keep him. ask any knowledgeable cas poster on here and they will agree. what we didn't do was pay what we couldn't afford or what we felt he wasn't worth. as we have done with numerous others; fox and wilkes to name but two. both left after being offered contracts elsewhere we couldn't/wouldn't match. fox especially at the chagrin of many wakey fans who couldn't see the bigger picture. i'm sure you realise that wage spirals at a club like wakefield need to be avoided?

I was under the impression we were discussing Cas' forward pack. There is a Leeds Rhinos forum to discuss Leeds Rhinos topics.

I was under the impression that the opening post asked how the cas pack would stand up against others. I was pointing out that it's fair to say Leeds is the bench mark and what you are up against. I would say all 3 Leeds packs would give yours a run for it's money! we will see in a few weeks how you will go, if you have your best pack out who knows you might win?

I think it's obvious we're not competing with Leeds this year...

Tell me when was the last time the loiners didn't have a strong set of forwards? Name any of the top four or five sides' packs and the lists are similar in the depth, quality and sheer physical ize of the personnel. We are thin on the ground as usual and we lack the firepower so I think it will be tough, however Leeds are the least of our worries - it's those sides around us in the mid table who we need to worry about dominating. Regardless of that we will still give you a game as we usually do (barring the odd towelling at Headingly, we compete well down the lane). By the way I would be surprised if Eastwood is not in the first choice batch. If he is not better than Ablett then I am posibly going to sneak a bit of wee out as I laugh myself silly.

| In this day and age I don't see how it's possible to compete with Leeds from our point of view. That Whino fans post has enough reasons in it as to why I hope his team fails. Here's to hoping though

bluey has said previous that ablett is the glue that holds the team together and he also said he is one of the first names on the team sheet. which probably explains why he just got a 4 year deal. check the leeds board re ablett, probably one of the most underated players in the league by other teams fans.

I don't buy that. Yes Ablett is a decent SL player and much better than several of the Cas back rowers (although I wouldn't swap him for Joe) but would he get into the starting back row of any of the other top 5 teams? I am dubious of that. As far as being the 'glue that holds Leeds together'- I m sure Leeds fans hold him in high regard as he seems consistent and has come through the ranks and been there a while but I hardly see the team falling apart if he doesn't play. Cannot see how any coach would put him in the team before Greg Eastwood.
