46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.

| So far we have only a few changes.
1. Snitch for Clayotn (Forward step, snitch is a great player who can play a couple of positions)
2. Jackson for Feather (could go either way Jackson in his season at Cas was pants but at Hudds he was solid enough. I liked Feather at the start of the season but looked out of his depth at Wigan in the play offs)
3. Massey for Boyle (short term, backwards step mainly because of age and experience but longer term could be a good thing).
Where do people think we need to strenghten? If we don't keep Netherton, I think we need a player who could play hooker (as cover for hudson) and scrum half (to cover for sherwin) equally well. Come back Hendo! the quota rules have huge holes in them in his case. Let the RL fine us it would never stick.
I guess the alternative would be to use the hooker and stand off/scrum half from the academy (who could make it in SL from what ive seen).

A very sensible way of looking at things. I'd quite like a young hooker to get a go given that we lose most of Rangi's firepower when he has to fill in there. All in all, I'd just like more youngsters given a run out in the first team.

| Personally i think we need to strengthen out wide, i dont think Wainwright is good enough, is strike rate of 5 tries in 24 appearances is not good enough for a SL winger especially if where looking to improve. Would like to have seen a more impact prop signed, its off the bench where we struggle i think.

is that because hes blown the chances or has his centre or second rower been greedy and not passed him the ball ?

I think the biggest reason is tha when wainwright has been playing alot of the games sherwin was injured for, and when sherwin was out we seem to move everything down the other channel.

About 50% of the time the passes to him have been poor and not given him a chance, the rest of the time he's lacked the confidence to try and beat the defence on the outside and opted to come back inside.
I've lost track of the number of times I've commented in the last 2 seasons that you can't fault Wainwright for effort but he just ain't good enough to be a regular starting winger in a SL side.
He's another example of the type of players that Cas seem to excel in signing - those that'll give their all but are just not quite good enough for the level they're playing at. Another example of which is Liam Higgins.
Which is why I'd concur with another poster that I'd like to see a decent strike winger signed (assuming Owen is going to play at fullback rather than on the wing) and an impact prop who can punch holes in the opposition line.
