| I thought both sides were poor tonight making huge amounts of errors. The handling from Cas in the first half really let you down, i've never seen so many passes actually hit the dummy runners on the head, chest, back etc before.
In the second half the discipline from Cas was poor and McGoldrick was lucky to stay on the pitch for persisstant high tackle and infringments.
Overall we won a poor game but neither team would have been too confident of going much further in the play offs on the back of tonight.

Hull KR will have too much firepower for us if they've got Galea, Webster and Briscoe back i feel.
Hope i'm wrong.

| Wigan got a try from a blatant forward pass , and the ref turned a blind eye to numerous high tackles . Every other tackle by Wigan appeared to be above the shoulders , and he missed at least two flops by them . Yes he missed a few naughty challenges by Cas players , but from where I was sitting ( in my front room in front of a 60inch telly ) , it looked very biased . Even my mam said the same and she hates Cas . The linesmen really do need educating . Totally fkin useless the lot of them all season .
You was robbed .
Well done on your achievements this season , and better luck next year (obviously that don't include your meetings with us ) .

Pretty generous tbh mate, but thanks for the sentiment.
Can't complain at all though.. We've had a good year.

| Sorry you lost, Cas. I enjoy watching your guys play. I think nerves got the better of your team during the first half and by the time they had settled there was just too much left to do, although that last play almost brought off an equalising try.
Owen had a brilliant game and deserved MOM.

Indeed he did and numerous Wigan players must have the bruises on their heads/faces to prove it.
I don't do trolling so i'm just being honest. I thought Cas got away with a great deal tonight especially McGoldrick who was lucky to stay on the field.

| I'm very proud of the lads this season. We have overachieved as far as i'm concerned. I'm just sad that we didn't perform to our full potential today, because I know we can play miles better than we did.

| For me the person who should take a long hard look at himself is TM.
How can you move our best half back to Hooker just to make a place for a player who is in the clique but is so out of form it is unbelievable and put him into one of the most pivotal positions .... can someone explain to me why he would move Rangi out of position in our biggest match of the season?????
Don't get me wrong I am happy with the season overall but think our coach got it so wrong tonight and with Wigan playing that poor we really should of stuck to our tried and tested attack ....... oh well there is always next year............

| Too little, too late.
For me, we lost the game in the first half by playing panic rugby. Sherwin had a stinker and he must have thrown 5/6 shocking passes that either went behind all players or into the face/back of a team mate.
At the end of the day, you can't give a team like Wigan an 18 point start and expect to get away with it.
Not enough urgency shown in the second half considering we knew it was knockout rugby and we were chasing the amount of points we were.
Why we didn't put up more high bombs I have no idea considering it worked the one time we did put one up. We certainly should have put a kick up in the last few seconds.
And why on earth was Sargent putting a kick in on the 3rd tackle?
A disappointing end to the season in that I think we are better than Wigan and could have won today if we'd played the game and not the occasion.
However, overall I've been chuffed with how far we've come and look forward to next season when maybe we can take it up another level.
That's enough of my ramblings, it's been a long day.

| Welcome to the club, just like us you played for all of 20 mins and could still have got a result.
Next week will be tougher cos both Wigan and Catalans were very beatable this weekend.
Also cannot see why you keep one of the games best footy players in Westerman stuck out in the centres when it's screaming for him in the middle of the park.
Anyway Happy Christmas look forward to next years games.

It does for our esteemed CEO, the coach and the rest of the backroom staff associated with Castleford Tigers. For the players, it's their time to relax and rest up for a few weeks, which they absolutely deserve.

| Our completion rate must've been in single figures, we put far too much ball down and in turn put ourselves under far too much pressure at times.
I certainly think it was a case of nerves early on, but had Owen managed to score when he broke through, that may have settled everything down, but it wasn't to be.
When we actually started to play a bit in the second half, we took too many wrong options and sometimes looked ineffective in attack. Wigan were allowed to slow the game down quite a bit though, and as a result were able to get their line set and (with their line speed) snuff out our attack.
One positive for me was that our defence was pretty brutal and it's a shame it hasn't been as effective all season. Sure the game was rough, but they gave as good as they got; although (for whatever reason) our guys were frustrated at times.
Their points generally came from our mistakes and for that reason the best team won - they simply capitalised on our errors and punished us.
I think Sherwin may have been carrying an injury tonight, he was very poor at times. Losing Chase was a massive blow and McGoldrick was disappointing.
The best player on our team was Owen, closely followed by Huby and Shenton. All had great games IMO.
