| Sean Long is a better player than Brent Sherwin and I support Cas.

| Yes, Sherwin takes up a fair wedge on the salary cap and misses too many matches. Don't think anyone doubts his quality when he plays, but it's a waste of money when he is sitting in the stand.
However, you can never predict injuries. You might sign a player who has barely ever missed a game and he gets a bad one and is out all year. Just seems inevitable that Sherwin misses too much game-time.
On the other hand, who is going to come in and replace him? And what's to say he won't get a bad injury? We'd all like to see Myler as our 7 but apart from that what's the option? Good sevens are difficult to come by.

for as much as i rate shifty - you have to ask the question are we getting valeu for money for me NOT! but you also need to ask what else is out there and would we be better off. i believe with a decet scout overseas we would find another gem like we have Chase but we all know the chases of this world are few and far between. by that i mean for a club like cas to pluck him out of the air un rivalled and turn out to be a world beater.
if we can get better then my answer is yes however, if we replace him with cheaper average joe then No...but we need to get him on the chuffing pitch for christ sake!!!

You could easily say the same for hudson when he was out, by the time he got back from his injury he had missed more games than he had played, but for some reason that doesnt get a mention (not having a go at the signing oof hudson he's brought alot to the team and i'm glad we have him long term).

if hudson was to miss most of next season to then i would say exactly the say - always the risk when you sign players nearing the end of their carreers so 3 and 4 year deals make me roll around the floor laughing but feeling very uneasy also.
